Default Need someone to test my neighborhood
I made a neighborhood map and spent a great deal of time arranging decorations. I was understandably concerned about everything showing up in someone else's game, so I sent all the neighborhood files to my cousin. She was unable to view the entire neighborhood, even with the correct camera, and so I was not able to discover if everything shows up correctly. Can someone please test this in game and let me know if the rocks, trees, and waterfalls show up on the mountain? I don't want to upload something that isn't going to work. You'll need to get the waterfalls here . I used one of these bridges because I was having issues with Sim City and couldn't get the right bridge. But I'm not really concerned about the bridge. I also used Tom Duhamel's neighborhood camera mod . You're not going to be able to see the whole neighborhood without some camera that allows you to zoom out further than the regular camera. You probably won't even be able to see the mountain.

It works for me, your cousin must have put them in the wrong folder.

I will also say this is not a neighborhood but they are the SC4 files that are needed to make a neighborhood.

So... There was no deco then? How do I upload a proper neighborhood? I am a bit confused, since the directions for uploading maps talk about deco.

There are very few items that will transfer from SimCity 4 over to Sims 2.

This is what SC4 looks like: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=521476
This is what a neighborhood looks like using that SC4: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=521653

I put in deco in Sims 2 rather than Sim City, and that deco is very important. So is there a way to make sure it uploads with the map/neighborhood?

It will not upload with a map (SC4) that is use the make a hood with.

Is it CC or in-game items you use.

If it is custom content then you will need to supply it or links to it.
If it is in-game item then just make a neighborhood (not a map/SC4) with the in-game items and they will show up.

I gave links to the two items of custom content. Everything else is in-game. So I have to submit this as a full neighborhood rather than just a map? I'm only confused because the guidelines for submitting a map talk about deco. I thought that perhaps that referred to the deco that is put in the neighborhood in The Sims, not just Sim City.

To have ingame deco show up then you need to make it a full hood, first you need to make it then upload it here so we can look at it.

If after testing and it is good then you will need to go here and submit it "Creator Issues" http://www.modthesims.info/fd.php?f=492

Full hoods do not have to be submitted through Creator Issues, only if you want to place lot info in the comment threads.

Map Only -or- Neighborhood

And yes, you need to submit as a neighborhood, not a map only if you want it decorated (like my example). The two sections share guidelines since much of the requirements overlap.
