Default Hood Building Group Making New Hoods to Play
I, marka93 with M.M.A.A and Jawusa will be building new hoods for all to play and would like some more players to either build Base Game houses or supply SaveSim file with backstory for the hoods we will make.

Anyone can help as long as they are Base Game houses.

SaveSim files can be made in any game setup for they can be cloned into a base game hood.

All credit will be give to those who would like to help.

The first hood is now ready for testing.

ETA: The final version of this neighborhood is uploaded now. http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=546569

Where in the project are you on right now?

We've created until now 5 households and 2 community lots (I believe). If you want to know further more about this, just visit our thread under the Sims 2 Create forum.

If you still need any extra housing, community lots, business lots I'd love to get involved!

I hope it does well, sorry I can't help with base game, that's why I never put my hand up. I do have an AGS base game slot but anytime I use it, it seems to make the cc in my main game vanish, I have no idea why!

@PlatinumPlumbbob We will be doing more BG hoods soon its just this one is very close to being done and will soon be uploaded here.

@PanAm As long as there base game house/lots then we could use them in the next hood for the one we are working on is almost ready for upload.
We can still add to it if we need to.

I did actually have an idea for a family to include in the end Perhaps I will join a future project. I would be very interested to see how the hood has turned out

I use the sims as a psychology simulator...

For those who have EPs/SPs, you can still create the sims in Body Shop.
SaveSim files can be made in any game setup and can be cloned into a base game hood.

I think UC users can test but not create because you need AnyGameStarter to create which doesn't work with UC.

@simsfreq

UC users or any one not able to use the Any Game Starter program can still help with it, all they need to do is follow the guide lines set up for each hood and make either the lots or family with story and up load it in the thread in CF and one of us will redo the house/lots in just the base game and extract the family and make clones of them. (Its a little bit of work but hey i'm easy.)

Okay, for anyone interested, we do need someone to create the 6th and last family/household. So... Anyone?

If you're interested, let us know in the other thread under Creator Feedback > Sims 2.

That is odd. I might make a base game AGS and try that out. Does the CC disappear from the game or do the files actually get wiped?

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.

The files are there, it's just anything in game using a mesh vanishes. CAS stuff was still showing. It came back when I loaded up again but it made me a bit nervous to try it again. I can load up my Season or M&G slot perfectly fine.

@joandsarah77
I have the same problem and the work around for me is to make 1 AGS game my main game and the other 2 for testing and building.

AGS seems to disable something in there and if you dont have a back up copy of your CC/hoods and your camera mod you will lose some of it.
If i want to use the real main game i have to replace my Downloads/hood folders and my camera mod plus my user start up file.

You would think that they are in the neighborhood storyboard, or at least the neighborhood album, but nope, they are actually found in the "Other Pictures" tab. This may hint that the game does not really recognize the neighborhood pictures as neighborhood pictures.

Yeah, in order for them to show up:

You have to copy the Storytelling folder inside the neighborhood folder to C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Storytelling.
Then it shouldn't be empty.

On closer inspection of the neighborhood pictures, they seem to be too crisp and detailed to be taken with the game camera. Even on high quality, the game camera will give out bigger pixels (hence lower resolution). This may imply that the picture-taker must have taken the pictures with a screenshot program, resized them, and placed them instead as "neighborhood pictures".

Or something else. But that's a point that I'd like to raise for the current product.

TBH, I don't know much about it, but IMO, Jawusa did a great job with them! And they seem fine to me. The reason why they appear as you said is because we're trying to give the EAxis-ish feel to the pictures and neighborhood.

Ah! Great to see someone enjoying them! Yes! The 'Run-away' teen was something that wasn't present in any of the premade neighborhoods upon loading them the first time, so we thought it would fun to see how it goes if it all happened prior to actually playing the neighborhood.

P.S. We would like to have more testers if possible, so please visit the Creator Feedback Forum > Sims 2 and check our thread and download the latest attachment and give us your feedback.
