Default Storewide Sale through Easter Weekend!
Included in the sale: the Deliciously Indulgent Bakery, so if you waited to purchase it (like I did, because I'm cheap), now's your chance to be like the cool kids and have it almost as soon as it releases. (Okay, two weeks late to the party, but we're still partying, right?)

Also, if you own whole or partial sets, you might want to check out the "complete your set" feature, coupled with the compilation sets. (You can get the complete your set discount on those, too.) So sale price plus "complete your set" might equal a green download button for whatever you don't already have.

I've managed to pick up quite a few things today for free because I owned one or two sets within a compilation. For instance, since I already owned the chicken coop set, I was able to download the April 2013 compilation for free. (Which means I scored the Tudor furnishing and CAS set for the cool sum of zero sim points.)

Yup, I've been spending about the last half hour seeking that normally elusive green download button... with great success MWAHAHA!

Thanks to this sale I was able to get the Moroccan furniture, the Jazz Age clothes, the Indian clothes and the futureshock kitchen for free.

I was also able to finish off the Monarch Suite, which gave me an item from one of the Gothic Glamour rooms and dropped its price to 195, which gave me the other Gothic Glamour set for free, which gave me the multi-tab, the Oh My Goth! compilation and all the Cambodian sets for free.

There are a couple other sets I could get for really low prices but I just don't care about them and they don't do anything for CYS with compilations, so blah. And my simpoint stock is low since I haven't seen any ad buttons in a week or two.

Nice sale. The complete your set feature takes a little effort to check through on what you already have (like I really remember all that crap I've gotten all these years?), but it's nice to score a fill in for free. I did pick up a few items on sale as well, and I like that they have lots of individual premium items available outside the sets. I scored the violin, which I've always wanted, but never wanted to buy the whole Renaissance Festival venue just to get it. Now, do I get the psycho chicken or not? Off to see if someone has a fried chicken mod for that. If I find one, the bird is mine.

So the bakery set is worth paying the (discounted) price? How about the casino PC items, the ones with the robots dealing card games? I am also contemplating the art venue as well, but may vote against it.

I don't want the art venue, but I do want the glass-blowing station. I want to make my own rec center with all the big, clunky machines that don't fit in houses (Alchemy Station, Bot-Building, etc.) and the glass-blowing thing would be really nice for the art room. Too bad

"Worth it" is relative -- for me, if the mods are available so that things work, then, yes. And the mods are either getting there or are there for the bakery. Even Sandy at Around the Sims has updated her bakery items to work with EA's bakery. When you consider all the edible pastries and food the community has developed over the past year or so, the bakery can have quite a huge inventory of culinary delights for your sims to enjoy.

I got the card-dealing robots in one of the complete your set deals for compilation sets (Up the Ante, because I already had the casino).

For me, the Prism Art Venue is probably still too expensive (haven't checked it out yet).

Of course, YMMV.

Snapped a few 2,000 simpoint sets for around 250 simpoints each today. I also got Monte Vista because I didn't the last time it was on sale, and hey, why not? I have about 1,000 simpoints leftover, but I think I'm going to wait until the glassblowing station goes on individual sale.

To be honest, I really wanted the Homecoming set but I ended up not having enough for it. I'm not sure why, I just really love all those ugly, ugly dresses.

For me the store is currently lagging so badly that it's not even funny.

That's been a problem off and on since the sale started. Since it's going on all weekend, you can probably pick up whatever you want tomorrow.

I just complete my sets from looking at what I have in my Purchase History.

Still have to dress in drag if you want to buy the tractor.

Hmmm.. the Lucky Simolean Casino for 1,273 points or the Up the Ante Collection (which includes the casino) for 725 points. Decisions, decisions! lol!

But seriously, I got 16 sets for 1,105 points (not including the Up the Ante); and considering that at least half were compilation sets, I figure I've made out quite well so far.

EDIT: Why is it in MMAO you always get the venues and worlds just when your simpoints are just below?! I was off by ONE freeking point! (I know its because they want you to buy more points). I still managed to get Midnight Hollow for 900 points though; 63% off isn't too shabby.

Up The Ante Compilation says 1809 points for me. Not that I'm going to buy it, but EA is hating on me.
