How to convert textures/hair/door from PS2/PSP version of the sims(s)?
I wish to convert mesh from Sims Bustin out
also, The "Don" hair and The "Start" house front door from The Sims 2 (PS2) and the floor texture too.

Because I want to convert them to recreate 5 Sim Lane and the "beta" version of sims.

PS.Is this thread supposed to be in WCIF or not? I'm not sure.
I apologize in advance if the spellings are bad, I'm Thai. U-U;

There's been a jump in the sims 4 section of Bustin Out conversions, so extracting meshes from at least BO should be possible. I'm not really sure how to convert the meshes or even how to pull them out/apart, but I'd suggest maybe ask one of the people who have done the recent extractions how they did the thing.

By the way, I know a lot of ts2 beta sims have hair originating from Sims Online, and with the recent launch of FreeSO, it might be a good idea to take a peek in the files in there as well.

But, Isn't it just The Sims. just online? It's still 2d and didn't have mesh? (I'm a complete beginner when it's come to mesh.)

I'm not sure there's any point converting that door from the PSP game, honestly - the textures are so small that by the time you get it into TS2, it'll look like mush. It'd probably be easier just to make a recolour of a basegame door, copying the style and colours of the PSP one.

I know you can rip meshes and textures from the GameCube version of The Sims Bustin Out so that would be possible with The Sims 2. You might find info about that here. However if I recall correct, it's quite hard to get it right and such.

My advise is just to recreate whatever you want from scratch.

I can't see a door in that pic, did you paste the wrong link?

I think they were asking which TS3 door resembles it :D

It also looks a lot like the basegame Mauritania door in TS2.

@Greenplumbbob Is it supposed to be a joke? XD
@Nysha You're right
It is, but with a different texture, they use this door as Goth Manor's front door.

I mean, it isn't literally using the same texture - but the wood colour looks identical, and the design in the glass looks very similar too, from what's visible in the pic above
