Default Expansion Neighborhoods playable?
Hi, I don't know if someone has already asked this, I've searched but couldn't find it. If so I'm sorry for re-asking.

I recently got World Adventures, and I fell in love with the Egyptian neighborhood. I was excited to find that you could create a household in the neighborhood, but it wasn't playable. I was wondering if there was a mod, or a general way to add the neighborhood as selectable on the main menu? I would also like to do this for the neutral Oasis Landing, since I love Scifi stuff and don't want the hassle of choosing a neighborhood, then Oasis Landing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Head on over to NRASS. They have the mod you are looking for. I can't remember it off the top of my head at the moment, but it does allow you to move or holiday in any neighbourhood. So you can go on a holiday to Twinbrook or Sunset Valley if you like. The mod you are looking for is over there

Basically, install NRaas Traveler, travel to Egypt, buy [and move into] vacation home, click on base camp and select 'change hometown'. Now save.
There. Your save game now treats Egypt like a regular hood

There's also the Al Shibalba by MySimRealty, which is based on Al Simhara and uses it's map. It's just made to be more playable.

Excellent. Muchos thankos to naiyasfury for that, and to you for linking. Now, if only I could find a playable University so I could use that world without bloating up my save.

Or alternatively, this one here http://simleigh.tumblr.com/post/726...-an-awesome-new
Haven't tried it out yet myself, but apparently it's been edited to be more suitable for use as a homeworld, while still retaining most(?) of the University lots. And no CAW required, it's ready to install Think it might just have empty residential lots rather than houses though?

Thanks so much!! I've been sending all my existing YA sims to uni lately that I've started to wonder when someone was going to make this available as a homeworld. Perfect

You're welcome! Wouldn't have found it myself if it wasn't for the playable Oasis Landing link earlier in this thread, so thank you to @varpunen for that

Super thanks! But it seems I don't need CAW, as the 7z file exports a complete .world file.

If you're talking about the .world file you downloaded from cawster, you do need caw. There is a folder containing all the layer information for the world along with the .world file. When you export these files from caw, caw bundles them together into the .sims3pack. I don't even know if you put the caw .world in your installed worlds folder if it would open in game. Probably not since a huge chunk of the information for the world is missing.
