Where do I put any CC downloads into Sims 1? I can't find the folders...

It depends; all items go to subfolders in your installation directory (C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\)

Objects: GameData\UserObjects
Walls: GameData\Walls
Floors: GameData\Floors
Roofs: GameData\Roofs
Sim heads / bodies: GameData/Skins
