Has anyone here played this before? Just putting this out there, I have this game on CD and now Steam! It has also been said that this game was shown on Steam before it launched...

It certainly sounds different! I love games like AoE/M and Tokyo Jungle and this sounds like a mix of the two. Will definitely keep it in mind if I ever get bored of Sims.
