I'd like a hack to make novel writing randomly increase/decrease fun instead of just decreasing it. Much like real life--sometimes you're flying through pages feeling on top of the world, other times you're staring at the same paragraph for three hours sputtering with distress.

If it helps, I extracted the Sims 4 talk radio stations here. Kinda sounds like old-timey radio.

I'd quite like to have a stand-alone elder female pregnancy mod (i.e. a mod that doesn't also include teens), complete with related wants and fears. I don't demand realism in my game, and would quite like my more mature ladies to experience pregnancy either for the first time, or again (I presume they can already adopt in an unmodded game?), if that is their wish.

I'd like a utility (probably outside my game) that would enquire of my game and get all the Sims in a particular career (including townies), and list them all along with their current job title. Ideally this would include custom careers -- it would be useful to my fashion designers to have the names and contact details of all the models in the neighbourhood.

Doing it manually, one Sim at a time, in SimPE is tedious, and it's easy to miss someone. I did it manually for Buzz Grunt for all 46 townies in Strangetown, as he wants to call up all the army reservists (i.e. townies in the military career) and move them all into barracks to deal with the perceived threat from aliens. I foresee troubles for him ahead, as one of them is his equal in rank, and comes from a very distinguished military family. General Custer no less!!

HoodExporter also lists careers, but I think a lot are GUIDs so hard to identity.

Thanks Bulbizarre! I've now downloaded the Coworkers' Phone Book. It would have got the list for Buzz Grunt in a fraction of the time it took me to do it manually. As for my Fashion Designers, they only have to know the name of one model. That one can tell them who all the others are. I see it's cloned from Phaenoh's Phone Book. That was the very first mod that I got for my game (when I'd only been playing for a few days) and my Sims and I still find it very useful.

I'll have a look at the HoodExporter too. I was wondering if WHoward might have a solution for this problem!

Wouldn't exporting the hood data work? It exports as table data and should then be sortable/filterable in excel.

Depends on whether you want everything, or just the job info. (I do periodic exports just to keep up with how many Sims are actually active in-game, and I usually find the game has spawned one or two new NPCs whether it's supposed to or not - there doesn't seem to be anything limiting the number of Baristas, for instance. And yes I do have several spawn-restricting mods.)

I'd like a mod to stop sims' aspiration icons appearing over their head nearly every time you tell them to do something. It's been driving me nuts lately.

Do you have a screenshot? I don't know what you mean by this. Are they low aspiration?

Regarding this from a couple of pages back, I got fed up with waiting for it to go away on its own and used testingcheats to "fulfill" it, then set my sim's aspiration back to gold with Insim's aspiration adjustor.

More vacation places would be cool. There would be a snowy area and a big, European city.

I'm curious... How would you propose those types of vacation hoods would appear in the game? What would the "local greeting" be? The unique dance? The specialty food? The secret lot (and its resident)? What kind of tour attractions would you include? How about souvenirs? What would make each one unique?

I have always wanted a snowy Bavarian vacation hood. Big wooden chalets! I suppose I'd go cheap on the secret lot resident... an abominable snowman version of the Big Foot would satisfy me! haha... The greeting could be yodeling! I'd have all 4 seasons set to winter and have snow more likely, particularly blizzards. I'd include the snowboarding from TS1 (I know there's a functional custom one!). Igloos to sleep in... perhaps the ability to build one, rather than to rent it. The slap-dance would be fitting, but that's already in use, so we'd have to come up with something else. Skiing would be essential, but whether that's an actual hill to ski down or not would be up for debate. Maybe a ski lift takes your sim up a hillside and out of view, and then you can watch your sim, some moments later, come sliding back into view on their skis. But that might be kinda dull, so perhaps sending them off on a "tour" to go skiing would be better. The food is another one I'm not sure about. Venison? Moose? Schnitzel? haha... perhaps some pretzels and beer? And the unique clothing could be some nice winterwear. Low-hanging fruit would be lederhosen and dirndl.

I also wanted to have a Western Frontier town... it would be located in the desert and would have all kinds of Native American and old west style. A fort, with wooden ramparts. I'd have teepees available to sleep out in. Maybe a peace pipe? I'd have a haunted boot hill cemetery, which would spawn a ghost, similar to Captain Dregg on Twiikii Island. [I'd call him Fraidy-Cat Jones, and have a ghost who died of fear!] The secret lot would be a watermill next to a river, with a crazy old panhandler. Since it would be in the desert, the weather would be hot and dry... rarely any rain. Perhaps a rain dance would be the local dance, and the "how" greeting, for the local gesture. The clothing could be animal skins and feathered headdresses, as well as old-style military uniforms. Of course, you'd have cowboy hats and boots. You'd have bandanas that could be worn around the collar, or up over the face like a bandit! Hood deco would include buzzards, of course... hahaha... Souvenirs could include a tomahawk, maybe a dream-catcher or a decorative drum? Or maybe the drum should be functional! Maybe the cuisine would be buffalo burgers, or buffalo steaks. The whole motif would be heavily based on 1950s Westerns. There was a GREAT little place in Upstate New York called "Frontier Town" and i' drawing heavily on this for my inspiration!

Perhaps another interesting vacation theme would be a Transylvania-type place... The motif would be classic horror movies, like Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, etc. That could be a lot of fun.

I'm very curious how you would fill out "a big European city"!

Paris comes to mind: The Seine goes through the middle of the city, the Eiffel Tower dominates it, with the park in front of it-the Left Bank opposite Notre Dame.

Personally...I wpuld be happy to find a creator who managed to recreate France and Egypt vacation from SIMS 3. I am not sure if custom greetings and animation can be done or how, but its interesting thought.

Can you default replace the outfits for the various vacation locals?

Picturing it is one thing... making it interesting game play is another. What would your sims do in a Parisian-style city, to make it fun to play?

Fake eiffel tower lot with a photobooth on the top floor (use the SetHighestAllowedLevel cheat to make for ridiculously tall building). Highest place in SimNation to woohoo!
Nectary, wine tasting and bars.
Moulin Rouge cabaret club, with entertainment (put in some of the instruments and microphone).
Fancy parisian cafes with chess tables and books to read.
Museums, art galleries. The Sim Louvre!
Flea market- buy some souvenirs
Fancy French restaurants!
Walk by the Seine! Make some parks and plazas with statues.
Fashion shops!

All of the above are to be set in historic buildings, with fabulous architecture.

If you were brave (or download some of the available lots from MTS) you could include a Notre Dame, and even some catacombs to explore!
