I'm interested in setting up a bank for my neighborhood. But I'm kinda lost on where to start? Preferably I want to run it as a community lot and I'm open for any kind of CC. Also to not make this into a WCIF, I want you to tell me how you run your bank in your neighborhood (if you do) or just come up with ideas that might work (if you don't or if you have other ideas than the ones you use).

because of the way I start-making sims pay off loans and work for what they have my bank only sold pcsims money boxes (usable) Coins (Almightyhat) and certificates from here and a coin on a stand. Since they recently became debt free and now have 30K to hand I have started doing small 10K loans using Monique's payment mod http://modthesims.info/d/203984 Just the one so far I am still learning how to use it.

I do use a lot of CC in my bank to make it not only feasible but also profitable to any respectable banker-coins, paper money, and bank certificates are among the things that my bank offers. It makes small loans for those who need them, sells money orders and you can write checks as well.
Using a few other cheaty style hacks, I've never lost any money on it. You could also start out as a small coin dealer and let things grow. Banks often started out small and then they got organized.

My bank system is based on the typical commercial banking system we have in America. To accomplish this, I used Monique's computers, stock paintings, PCSims' gold bars and piggy banks (optional), and the for sale sign -- all of which (with the exception of PCSims' stuff) can be found here on MTS. I also recommend getting Pescado's Customer Selector or TwoJeff's Visitor Controller (my preference, although it doesn't let you select business type like MATY's does) to prevent your poor sims from showing up there autonomously, if you choose to sell the stock paintings. I'm personally concerned that sims with small nest eggs and mouths to feed will blow all their money on $5,000 stocks, so I prevent them from showing up. This could be prevented by only having townie customers, or downloading a simulated sales mod to prevent playables from actually spending all their simoleans.
