My sim is working in the firefighter (ambitions) career in Appaloosa Plains.

She was at work just chatting with her co-worker when suddenly the alarm goes on and there is a fire in someones house!
When I click to .. uhm, you know, do the mission/go to the house and put out the fire then the '' fire! '' icon just dissapears and suddenly there is no fire!
Does anyone know how to fix this or is it just temporary?

Sorry ZenGarden, the firefighter career has been borked for quite a while now. I forgot which patch broke it. You can try having your sim quit and then reapply for the firefighter job. Sometimes that resets it. Also, try clicking on the fire icon over the house that is on fire. Good luck.

I uninstalled, meh, not enough reasons to have Ambitions left. I only like the explosions, meteors and the traits.
