I just got minecraft and was wondering, how do you join a server? I've tried a few times, but I'm not sure I'm doing it right. I go onto multiplayer, direct connect, type in the address for the sever I find, and it says either invalid characters, disconnected, or connection timed out. I've tried with so many servers, and not a single one has worked!

So how do I join a server, and any good ones you suggest?

I think it depends on what platform you're using. I normally don't play multiplayer for Minecraft, but that's just me.

Normally servers web sites will have the info needed to add the address to your game.

You can not search for server from your game you must put in the info to be able to see them.

If you are having problems typing in the address then use the ctrl c and ctrl v to copy and paste it in your game.
