Ok when I hit the tab key to take pics the bottom menu will disappear and sometimes will not come back after hitting the tab key again. The only thing so far I can do when this happens is exit the game because I can not get the menu back.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Are you taking pictures with the F10 key? The F10 key also makes the bottom menu disappear and reappear and the different keys don't keep track of what the other one's doing, so whenever I use Fraps I wind up having to take a lot of useless pictures to get the menu back.

Ok then it sounds like Fraps is doing it then. Yes F10 key is used for Fraps.

That seems annoying, can't you select which key acts as the screenshot key in Fraps? I use Gadwin and it's mapped to Printscreen by default but I can make it use any key or key combination that I choose.

@simsfreq the free version no and I don't know about the pay version but that's not the point.

The point is that Fraps will make the menu bar disappear when you press the key to take a pic with.

Because it's using the same key for both stuff, taking the pic and hiding the UI. And you CAN change the key Fraps uses for taking screenshots in the free version. I assigned it to F12 in my laptop to test something, and it didn't show the message telling me to register.

@velvetina I just went a looked and you can change the key (Thanks for letting me know) but still that's not the point, which ever key is chosen the UI will still disappear once it is pressed.

Its the combination of pressing the tab key and the Fraps pic taken key that is causing the problem.

You must hit the Fraps pic taken key 2 times no mater if you only want 1 pic to stop this problem.

Pressing Esc doesn't bring it back? I use Bandicam instead of Fraps and I don't have that problem with the UI. Maybe your PC is acting somewhat funky?

Well it might be a helpful point to someone else, because it's not Fraps causing the problem, it's the fact that F10 is an in-game shortcut which makes the in game UI disappear. It doesn't matter whether you press tab or not, or if Fraps is running or not. If you change Fraps to use a different key, then you won't have the problem. If you prefer to leave it as F10, then taking two pictures and deleting one as a solution works just fine.

@simsfreq I did not know that so I will switch it to F9 instead and see how that works.
