Default WCIF Stay in pool hack
WCIF a mod that forces sims to stay in the pool until their motives are low? They tend to go up as soon as their motives are slightly low, like medium, especially if it's their hunger. So I always have to remove the pool ladder. But we all know what happens when you forget you've done that ...

I try to keep them out of the pool.

When I want them to do something I always find them in the pool.

Probably tell them to get in and then turn off free will.

But then they can't get out! It's the same as removing the pool ladder, only the rest of the family gets no free will so it's worse

The ones I've heard of they didn't forget at all. My sims have to be dragged out of the pool at motive desperation, so I don't know what the difference is.

If you want them to stay in for a movie or something or to enjoy watching a scene... I do this when I hang by the Widespot Public Pool with my sims, I use BO's Need Freak, love it, actually. I have different settings for it for different types of lots, so I can keep their hunger in a range to keep them eating at a diner, or comfort in range to keep them sitting in a church, or their fun and energy in range to keep them swimming, then they do all that stuff appropriately and autonomously on the right lot. If anyone wants to try it, I can share the settings that are working for my lots.

I forgot BO's mod and that would work for OP.

Thank you for your time but that's not what I'm looking for either as I'll use it for normal gameplay. But I could just keep removing the pool ladder, it's ok. I just figured I'd ask if someone knew a more convenient way. I haven't had an accident yet, actually, just a close call. I did this face: :8

It also seems to make a big difference where the pool is and what else is nearby. If it's in the route they want to take, they'll get in a lot more, and if there's not so much fun stuff around, they'll stay more. You can use NeedFreak for normal game play, too, but it does affect everyone on the lot equally. If I were playing with just one, I'd still probably use a motive mod to manipulate their individual needs rather than move the ladder, but that works, too.

I think so too. In my other family they stay in their pool longer, although they also sometimes go up when I don't want them to. I haven't felt the need to remove the pool ladder there.
