I have been listening to Kids a lot lately, too. I was actually supposed to see MGMT today but I couldn't get a ride... *sigh*

What do you think of their new album? I like it much better than Oracular, of which I only really liked Kids and Electric Feel.

Anyway, back on topic, I have been listening to The xx non stop for the past week. In particular, the songs Heart Skipped a Beat, Islands, and Infinity.

mmmmmmmm (Happy recolection) mine is my former Girlfriend's theme, we knew each other in junior high and hung out a lot, then me and my family moved to LA, my dad died and then in 1999 we moved to New York, away from LA and the farm... then I got married in January, and my sister waas going through some boxes that my mom had after she died in 2006, and I found this huge keepsake box that I never let go of in New York or LA, it had a love letter in it from before me and her went off, and a photograph of me and her, and I had her phone number on my hand and I was pointing at it happily. Our theme was Orbital, Halycon no and on. *Smiles fondly*

I've been listening to May It Be by Enya and Into the West by Annie Lennox from The Lord of the Rings a lot. More specifically, I've been singing to them because they are good songs for the vocal part I usually sing and they are very much like most choral music. I've also been listening to the King's Singers. I will be in one of my university's choirs this fall, so I'm doing more practicing than usual.

Right at this moment, I can't stop listening to the acoustic version of Disarm Me by HIM. It's a beautiful song, so gentle, sweet and sad. It's simple, just a man and his guitar and it gets me everytime I hear it.

I have a few right now...

Ain't No Rest for the Wicked - Cage the Elephant

Bombora - The Atlantics

Misirlou - Dick Dale and the Deltones (it was in Pulp Fiction, which clearly makes it a great song)

Sons and Daughters - The 88

What can I say... I'm kind of eclectic, I guess.

I'm not really a fan SOAD, although I liked them when I was 14. But I've had "Psycho" stuck in my head for hours.

Fireflies - Owl City

I only just discovered this song, and I love it.
It's also inspired me to write a new chapter for my novel, which is great, since I've had writers block for months now. :]
