Default Sims 3 pets (horse) mods
Hi there,

Just wondering, where can I find a mod (or if there is a way in game already, plz let me know lol) that makes a horse lay down. I am attempting a sims 3 movie and need this for one of the scenes.

Thanks for your time!

I could be wrong but I don't think there is such a mod or pose. If I recall correctly, horses sleep standing up, so even if you use something like MC/cheat to reduce its energy to 0, horses will just sleep standing up unlike human sim who will passed out on the floor.

I also haven't seen any animal poses/ custom animations. I am not even sure if there is a rig for making them.

Hope someone else can give you a better answer as I am interested in animal poses for my stories as well.

From my limited knowledge, and this is if I even remember correctly, they have to constantly move their feet to circulate blood- no feet moving, no heartbeat.. no pretty horsie. I think if they're lying down it's kind of only in a life or death situation. However, I think I have seen a foal lie down once or twice in-game, though that might be specific only to them, and it might only be with mom in the box stall. I think the thing is with animals with long legs (giraffes, zebras, horses, elephants..), is it's really hard to get up. I mean, horses are really heavy, so..

Good luck finding it, though, if there is.

That cat isn't Pepper. Pepper is a bird. Not a cat.

This mod http://gnautylilgnomes.com/forum/index.php?topic=7010.0 does what you want. Horses use the passed out animations instead, so they will always nap/sleep lying down on the ground.

close, but no cigar, I'm afraid. horses moving their feet is an AID to circulation, not a vital necessity... Horses do lie down when in very deep sleep. if they're ROLLING constantly it's time to get the vet out of bed at 3am because that could be a twisted gut and then, yes, no more pretty horsie (I'm studying this stuff at the moment, it's right here in the textbook) I DO know that elephants can't lie down at all because their ribs would be crushed, not sure about other really large animals. I'm not necessarily looking for poses, but other horse mods would be nice, like maybe a fluffier tail or some more breeds (different sizes would also be nice - maybe a slider) I'm also a furry who wants hooves for shoes, wearable tail, ears, entire head mask... etc. any leads?

That mod is moved to a different site here: http://simsasylum.com/tfm/index.php...nap-lying-down/
Notice also that there is a link in my sig file, which is highly likely the place where I would be located now. This new site is one which requires registration to get into, though.

Try entering 'Testingcheatsenabled true' in the cheat code box by pressing Ctrl C

Then, if you have a foal, press and hold shift and clicking it should say 'edit sim in CAS' or somethin like that, make sure the foal is still laying down before you do this, then make it an adult (If you are working with an adult) then as he is laying down, assuming it worked, fil the scene i never tried this, but it is an idea.

There is a way to get them to lay down. I've done if before. There is a weapons mod that allows you to shoot your horse with a tranquilizer which causes the horse to immesiately fall down on the ground as if it had died.

Horses nap standing up, but sleep lying down. You're completely incorrect on the 'lying down = death' thing.

Please don't necro dead threads unless you have something very, very useful to add.
