Is MTS accepting items such as this now?

EA did not give us much in the way of paintings. Are recolors of them wanted that are not photos, celebrities, etc.? I did read the submissions section and the OK photo showed traditional artwork. If a recolor is done of a Van Gogh painting, for example, would it be acceptable if well done?

I would like to be able to submit some painting recolors if you want them, but if they are not wanted I need to know that.

Thank you.

I can't give an official answer, but I would say that the thread you linked is a precedent for a "Go for it!!" answer. And if the paintings are well done, there are people (like me...) who -will- want them.

I am Ghost. My husband (who made the account because I was too shy) is sidneydoj. I post, he downloads, and I wanted to keep my post count.

That rule exists to stop the sadly common practise of spending ten minutes on Google images, finding some pretty (usually copyrighted) artwork, and slapping it haphazardly in a sims frame. If it's evident from an upload that that's not what you've done, we'll certainly look more favourably on it.

Thank you for the replies. As I was seeing very little artwork here I was not sure if it was wanted or not, and we sure do need it considering what EA provided. Next time I do something I will run it by you and see if wanted. I tend to do things from traditional artists such as Turner, Boticelli, and so on. And Impressionist paintings seem to work well with the style of the game.

You could post in creator feedback and see how many poeple say they would definitely want to download it? You need to bear in mind that there may not be many paintings on MTS but around sims sites in general we're pretty much flooded with them, probably including all the old masters, as they tend to be something beginner creators make to practice on

Hi, Inge! I just checked and there have been over 15000 downloads of the item(s) that I linked to, so it looks like there are people who download from here that might be interested. If I upload something it would be something that I hope has not been done to death. And I know that many of the downloaders here do not download from some of the other sites, and particularly one I won't mention, which offer paintings.

I guess when ready I will just have to see if what I do is accepted and then if published what the reception to it is.

Thanks for the input.
