This is epically bad. I'm finding out I can live off just a BPS downloads folder

Someone should donate them like a bajillion dollars to keep them running, 'cause I just saw that site for the first time now and now I know how to build a basement for TS2. So helpful.

It says on that site that they are going private.

If any one has an account there can you please let them know that the graveyard would really love to have all there downloads.

Jonesi, the membership thing isn't new. I've tried to sign up a bunch of time, but it never gets past the approval step.

Downloads will still be gone, and they're going to be pruning the forums and members, but they're going to try to keep the current site up.

My files will still be available, I am working on the details now as to where you will find them once the DL forums are gone at BPS. I will note the information in my section there as it becomes available (prior to the deletion).

Graveyard hosting BPS is out of the question. I've been digging through it for 2 days now and amassed 1.27 gbs of it so far and haven't even gotten through 1/3 of it. There's no way the graveyard could host everything that's on there sadly, its far too big.

What I am noticing though is most of the creators seems to have mediafire accounts for these downloads so if someone were to make a list of those accounts it would prove far more efficient and practical.

Does anyone know if BPS is down at the moment? I can't seem to access their downloads.

In good news though, the recent announcement did say that people were free to upload content elsewhere.

A lot of the creators have posted their old BPS files here. Hope this helps, it did for me.

That site is the home to many of the former Black Pearl Sim's creators, but the true new Black Pearl Sims site is forum only, membership required-and I think it's the Black Sim Pearls same site, but they removed everything that was taking up space on their server to limit the cost of the server.

That means no downloads and no sharing files either to be specific-which pissed off a lot of their creators so they did open another site for fans to use for downloads. Many of the creators do have other sites that they have their downloads at so there's really no need to fuss about getting their stuff.

Many people got their memberships canceled at Black Pearl Sims and removed if they had not posted above a certain limit and within a certain time. Certainly you're not the only one who lost theirs-I did as well, but I really don't care.

Back in feb I downloaded everything off their site and accumulated about 5 gb worth of stuff. I knew this day would come. I will be glad to upload my folder if anyone wants to find a place to host it.

See if the graveyard wants to host it!

I know that several creators now have their own Tumblrs/sites, so anyone uploading BPS stuff might want to check to see if those downloads are not already on other sites.

A couple of sites had mesh links that had long disappeared, and if you clicked on the site link, were replaced by sites containing malware. That slowed down my downloading ardor, I'm afraid. (I have only about 500 mB worth of BPS stuff.) And a couple of other sites with the meshes have long disappeared as well.

I confess that I do find it a bit unnerving sometimes when people cannot include the original meshes in their downloads. It makes me appreciate those creators who allow it. Fortunately, most do.

Is there an archive anywhere with BPS downloads? Or do we have to hope that individual creators reuploaded to their own site/blog/tumblr?

You might try the graveyard - several people were talking about uploading there.

Search Sim Pearls: http://simpearls.co.uk/simpearls/ - there are a lot of things that have been reuploaded there. I don't have specific links for you but the downloads (not ALL of them by any means) are there, you just need to look for them.
