I really cannot choose one, I love all of them. Seasons for, well, the seasons - and the fruit trees, and the garden plots. BV for the Far East, Pong Grundstrom and Thai Chi and the Travellers. Apartment Life for the social groups - I love them, going around faking out and doing the kiss, kiss, darling stuff, etc. And Lily Do and Phil Jitsemakol. Free Time for the Picaso and the Ramaswami families! And the pottery wheel. And the going hiking function. OFB for the flower shops and toy shops especially Chester Gieke, whom I love to bits. Downtown for the dating interactions and the graves and the curious Sims like the slobs
All I would really like in Sims is a game reserve or two with wild animals, or, at least, proper animal statues, so that I can take them on a South African game drive in a 4X4!

Every time I get asked this question, I always have a completely different answer.
I quite like University. I know a lot of people find university too long and boring, but I think they can be interesting. It's a nice place for my sims to socialise, in my megahood they all get sorted into either a sorority or a fraternity in their second year - so instant friends. I've also been obsessed with Greek houses since watching 'Undergrads' and 'Greek' and of course we don't have those in the UK, so I like to live vicariously through my sims. Which puts university in the running for my favourite EP, though I could easily see myself playing without university at the same time.
I also really enjoy Open for Business. I love running businesses - even though some times I find it quite tedious when things aren't going as planned and I have yet to work out why Checo Ramirez visits every business just to get negative stars and run that business down to the ground for no reason. I mainly run shops, though Malcolm Landgraab IV has a pretty successful club, and I've tried before (and failed) at having a restaurant.
My least favourites are probably Freetime and Bon Voyage. Freetime because although it added hobbies, my sims already had enough to do in their spare time so it didn't add much to the game, and Bon Voyage because although I like vacations, sims don't age while on vacation (which really confuses my rotations) and most sims never really find the time, and when they do - I mainly just rush around trying to get all the little memory icon things. Though that isn't to say that those EPs are bad, I don't think any EP is bad, I just think they had the least to offer with my playing style.
I really enjoy the other EPs not mentioned though too, Pets and apartment life were in the runners up but I just couldn't think about as much to talk about with them (Obviously pets - I like pets, and apartments - I like building and playing apartments, though there's not much else to say) I play a megahood with all neighbourhoods - so each one kinda focuses on a different EP and I like to keep with that, such as that Bluewater village sims are most likely to own a business and Riverblossom sims all do some gardening. So really I enjoy every expansion pack as it comes, but I'd say uni and Open for business are my favourites because they add the most to my style of gaming.

Seasons comes to mind immediately, 'cause of the weather, seasons, gardening, fishing and plant-sims. But I also really liked Night Life and Freetime.

Free Time, because it added so many new things, and AL because I simply can't manage without some of the functions and mods this pack allowed for (like the baby toys and Freezer Clock).
My least favorite is probably Bon Voyage. I had some troubles with vacation destinations, and just plain gave up sending sims there. I do like several of the functions, though.

You can still get the Ultimate Collection. All you have to do is talk with an EA adviser, say how much of a fan you are, and hopefully, you'll have a fair adviser to give you the ultimate collection. I also threw in how it wasn't fair that other simmers are still receiving their copies (not whining). I just wanted to know why and how people were receiving this. Now, I'm downloading the MOTHERLODE of custom content for this game.

Nightlife - Cars, Chemistry, Downtowns, Restaurants, bowling alleys really opened up the game for me way back when. I played four years with only that expansion pack before I got the next one.

All of it. I can't even remember exactly what came with what EP, they are intertwined.

Oh my, such a hard decision! I thought that many of the expansions in the Sims 2 were amazing, as each of unique enough to add their own special charm! I loved Bon Voyage, as visiting far away places on an actual vacation was totally awesome. Plus Pets added, well, pets! Although not often, I do love having dogs and cats about the house, plus having those cute small pets were memorable!
However, all in all I'd have to choose Nightlife... I really love the additions that were made to community lots in the game, plus all of the new interactions! I like to make my Sims live social lives, and having so many different choices such as clubs, bars, restaurants and more was something that I really enjoyed.

OFB. Simply because it expands upon the game economy the most.

Normally I'd say either OFB or University. But the truth is, I love all of them. They all add new possiblities to the EP's that came before. Like Seasons in University adds faster skilling and studying in Fall and the opportunity to sell produce with OFB. And BV lets you go on spring break or build a hotel. Etc. So yeah, UC is my favorite edition since I get it all.

I really like Seasons for the feature of being able to change hair styles per outfit. I love University for the extra lifespan, I love Nightlife for Downtown and the cars you get. I love OFB for the premades, and Bluewater Village, especially Malcolm Landgraab, (love those eyebrows). I love Apartment Life for the ability to live in an apartment. 90% of my Sims live in an apartment or something of the equalivent.
I'm not a big fan of Pets, I hate how you cant interact with your pets more. Bon Voyage was okay, kind of generic though, now so interesting. Freetime really didn't do anything for me, and the hobbies drive me absolutely bonkers.
