View Full Version : Moving My Legacy Family?

Hi! I'm currently playing my legacy in Bridgeport, which as it turns out, does not produce a lot of people so I can continue my legacy. Right now, my third generation is teenaged, and I was thinking that when they hit young adulthood and possibly marry, I would move the whole family over to Riverview.
I know that this is possible, but I'm wondering if there's any problems with this, for example, will they still be related to the family members that didn't move and the ones that have previously passed on?
I'm playing my game without any major mods and would like to keep it that way. Any advice would be beyond appreciated!

If you move sims without mods then you are going to lose relationships and links to dead sims, as you can only get 8 in a household to move via the library. However, if you were to use Twallan's Porter mod you could move all sims (dead and alive), and also re-link any using Twallan's Master Controller should you need to.

Both of these mods are non-core, and can be added to your game to move your family, and then removed safely once they are moved.

Thank you very much for your quick response!
I was also wondering if I were to resurrect the first generation (which is only two people) would I be able to move the family and still have the ghosts appear as related? At this point, what I really care about is the main legacy family.

Thanks again :D

You shouldn't actually need to resurrect the first generation - just pack their gravestones in a sim's inventory.
