This lot is dedicated to Hexameter, whose beautiful Venetian Gondola http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=187357 inspired me to build another Venice lot, and Taroo of Tarox http://www.tarox4sims2.de/ , whose beautiful furniture and décor defined the style and detail of the lot.

You can see more shots here: http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e...ers%20Gondolas/
Note: The ceiling tiles are by JGWhiteus, http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=42789. They are not part of the lot. The sky effects were produced by Chris997's Weather, http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=187229. It is not part of the lot.

Brothers Gondola is a residential property for the entrepreneur. It sits on a 3x3 lot at the beginning of the canal district. For approximately $250,000 this fully furnished 4 bedroom, 2 ½ bath with garage and gondola docks (complete with gondolas) can be yours. It has a patio restaurant and plenty of palisade area for small item sales.

You will need both .rar files for this property to work.

For personal use only. Please do not upload this lot anywhere.

If you ever do any of your own decorating or building, you will want to visit these fine craftsmen to complete your collections of the beautiful things you have a sampling of in this lot. It is their work and skill that makes this a special place.

Ailias: http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=16333 is a maker of many fine things. His most unassuming objects -- the edge smoothers are also the most versatile. I can’t build without them.
Another very unassuming object, the Paper Moon ceiling light, gives nice light with a flat, unobtrusive profile. Perfect for those places where you want light but don’t want a clunky, ugly fixture hanging down.

Tarox; http://www.tarox4sims2.de/, I love everything on the site. The furniture is timeless, real and superbly made. You definitely want to go complete the sets -- I didn’t use it all -- though it is all beautiful and definitely deserved a place.

MacaRossi: http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=44745 is the queen of windows and doors. Her decorative roof edges are a must for all ‘older’ buildings.

Simlin55: http://www.komosims.net/ is a maker of fine floors and walls. Her tile works in particular are stunning. You will find a few modest examples her walls and floors in this fine home.

QwinsepiaSquared; http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=198277 brought us the wonderful water world that you see in the background of the pictures. It isn’t part of the download, and isn’t needed for the lot -- but I highly recommend it. It gives the perfect ambiance for Venice. Her matching floor tile was used in the lot, and is included.

Brighten11: http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=161468 is a renowned builder with an impressive collection of lots available here. Many of them feature floors, walls and terrains that she has made which add tremendously to the charm and uniqueness of her buildings. She has graciously allowed me to include them in my lots.

Komosims: http://www.komosims.net/ is a maker of some of the most elegant and refined walls & floors available. If you are looking for old world charm and refinement, she is the artist to see. Of course she is versatile and has a wide variety of styles and types, plus exquisite terrains -- all of superb quality.

Jonesi: http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=95035 is a woman of many talents -- foremost of which (IMHO) is building and wall/floor making. She is also generous and has allowed me to use some of the premier custom build items she has featured in her own lots.

Parsimonious: http://www.parsimonious.org/, with their generous upload policy and wide variety of quality downloads, you know they will turn up in finished lots. A few modest examples of objects, floors and walls will be found on this lot.

Moon_Ez: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=109316 has made many wonderful things and written several fine tutorials . The Oh La’La’ balcony is one of my all time favorites.

Sunni Sims: http://kimberspace.mattwork.potsdam...6.php?menu=home has the most wonderful build items and furniture. Her stairs in particular have a wide variety of colors and styles -- and all nicer than what Maxis gave us.

Cyclonesue: http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=21917, a wonderful builder in her own right, which probably explains her series of versatile and beautiful terrains.

VonNdaSun: http://www.komosims.net/ A maker of fine walls and flooring. Her walls, even when ornate have a simple playful elegance that looks in your houses.

Hexameter: http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=75890 is probably best known for his unique vehicles. The gondola is a décor only item, but you can see the attention to detail and fine styling that he brings to all of his creations.

HolySmoly: http://www.holysimoly.com/index.cfm?go=home.welcome offers a variety of furniture and building supplies for the sim community. All are meticulously crafted.

Numenor: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=70222, He isn’t called the ModFather for nothing. Check out his other contributions, http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=4407 -- among them the Artemide light which you see here.

Marina’s Sims: http://www.marinasims.net/sims2.html has a selection of timeless building supplies and furnishings. Her outdoor furnishings and décor are a must have for the perfect garden tea party.

Mod Squad, SimStones: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=172481, don’t let the theme fool you -- this isn’t just for the stone age. Most of the items fit nicely in many other settings. Well admittedly, the mammoth shower and clothes styles are kind of hard to work in -- and I didn’t get them in this lot either. The lights, floors and walls can find a home anyplace, even Venice. I love the red light the pot torches make. Just wish I could find the last one in this lot. Near the end, I decided that electric lighting was really more appropriate, so I took them out, but the catalog says they are still in use. There must be one stuck under an object somewhere.
