Updated: 30th Sep 2006 at 10:19 PM - bug fix
Okay, I think I've finally gotten the bugs straightened out and uploaded the correct file this time. If anyone still notices issues with this lot let me know and I'll fix them asap.
This castle is for those of you who like gigantic complex lots, as I do. The lot size = 5x6 and it costs $426,011. It's 10 stories tall, unfurnished, with 3 towers, a curtain wall, barracks, great hall/throne room, stable, pig pen, 3 bridges, & a dungeon. I tried, as much as possible, to build it as medieval castles were actually built. The architecture therefore follows real-world constraints. For example, the towers are built from the foundation up. In a real castle, a tower built up from the third floor would collapse the roof. The pillars in the foyer are to support the tower above. The castle is also designed to be defended with an easily guarded entrance and a curtain wall surrounding the the keep. I did take the liberty of putting big windows on the ground floor because I didn't like how dark the castle looked without them. I do miss those great arrow slit windows that came with The Sims 1 but I couldn't find them anywhere. For no particular reason it also has an underground pool in the dungeon. I would like to thank the following people without whose work this lot could not have been built.

I don't think I've left anyone out but if you see your work uncredited let me know so that I can thank you properly. This is my first post so any feedback would be most appreciated.
I think i've fixed the issues with the stair sticking out of the tower, the lack of wallpapers, and the missing fence. I had to reduce the height of the two towers with the window problems. The ceiling for that floor was 2.5 times as high as it should have been and I couldn't find or create any reference point to use in leveling it.

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
