Here are some items to help your restaurant look more like a KFC. This is my third restaurant themed set. This time I did things a little differently. I'm learning as I go, I suppose!

There are 10 ad posters, seven big and three small. There's also a picture of Colonel Sanders for those who wish to display a picture of the founding father in their restaurants! In the past I would just recolor Maxis pictures. This time I cloned them so I could change the price and description of the posters. I thought perhaps spending 2500 simoleans for a picture of a chicken sandwich might be a bit too much! These posters will not replace the original Maxis paintings.

I've also included a floor sign. It is a recolor of Mr. Generic's Sign - floor model.

There are two different versions of the menu boards you can use. There are two smaller boards (2 tiles each) like I've made as I have in the past. You do not need to download a mesh for these because I've made my own. You can also choose one large menu board (4 tiles) that contains all of the items together. I made this mesh by cloning a painting from Night Life.

Once again there are uniforms you can download. They come in adult/teen male/female. There are shirts and also apron uniforms.

This time I've included a few different items. I've created windows with printing on them. They are recolors of the "Show Case" Shop Window. (Thanks Numenor for your broken glass tutorial) I've also recolored the "Big Entrance" Shop Doors to display the restaurant hours.

I've also made a sign for the restaurant that can be displayed on the outside (or inside if you want) of the building.

Included is a floor mat made with echo's 3x4 floor rug mesh. This is the only mesh you will need to download from another site. You can find it here: http://sims.eternal-echo.net/objects/rugs/

You can certainly cook food and serve it to your customers. However, while making this set, I searched around trying to find items you could actually display and sell. I couldn't really find anything. So, I decided to try making my own. There are three "To Go" items, a box, a sack and a bucket. These are decorative items only unfortunately. Do not expect anything spectacular! I've never made my own objects before (except for a tutorial table) so I was definately "winging it" so to speak. After making these three objects, creating a canvas for the menu boards seemed like a breeze! At least you'll have something to be able to sell at your restaurant if you like until someone with much more talent than myself comes up with something better. I realize that in real life you don't walk into a KFC and find sacks of food ready to purchase, but you do have to adapt to the sims world and their limitations.

I've divided up all these items into different files so you don't have to download everything. The ad posters, floor sign and two small menu boards are in the posters.rar file. The large menu I've put into a file of it's own since it requires NL. The outdoor sign I've put in the same file with the windows and doors. The rest you should be able to figure out by the file name.

I've also provided a collection file (along with a KFC icon) for those of you who would like to keep your items in a collection. These files need to go into your collections folder. Remember, you must still download all the items that you want, the package is only a list of items.

Thanks goes to MTS2 for all the great tutorials they provide. The one thing that would be better is if I could have a moderator sitting beside me keeping me from doing something stupid.

Please don't upload these items to another site or claim them as your own. You're more than welcome to recolor any of the objects I've made, but please don't include my mesh with any uploads, provide a link to this post.
