SMALL UPDATE Please Redownload
Sorry for the delay, those of you who have been waiting!!
Now your sims finally have the chance to work in the field of pokemon! They have ten levels to progress through:
Fanatic ($100)
Lab Assistant ($250)
Field Researcher ($500)
Groomer ($750)
Amateur Trainer ($800)
Indigo League Champion ($1,200)
Undercover Rocket Grunt ($1,500)
Expert Coordinator ($2,000)
Gymleader ($3,500)
Pokemon Master ($5,700)
The simmer who orignally requested the career listed the job levels, but, unfortunately, the custom career request forum was closed before I finished, so I had to write my own levels. I only have Uni and NL, and it works fine for me, so if anyone has only the base game or OfB or Pets, please let me know how it works in your game, and if you experience any problems, leave a feedback post and I'll try to fix it ASAP.
This career is adult, non-graduate, and I did not use any custom outfits, carpools, or rewards, there is a chance card for every level, and I used a new GUID, so it should not be overwriting anything, if it is, let me know.
As with all mods, be VERY careful, and back up your game and DO NOT try editing without first reading the tutorials in the Create section. Do not redistribute this career, but you may use it as a base, if you like, as long as you give proper credit when you upload.
Thank you to Bidou, and Psion, whose tutorials I used, and to Emma Barrett, whose career template I used to make this.
I also made a pokemon major (here: http://www.modthesims2.com/member/s...ad.php?t=213576) but it is not required to play this career.
To get this to appear in your game, all you have to do is extract files to your download folder, then the it should show up randomly when your sims look for a job in the paper or on the computer. If you're not patient, you can use boolprop to force your sims to get the job by shift-clicking on the paper. If the job doesn't show up even when you use the boolprop method, please let me know, there may be compatibility issues with the career I need to fix.
Enjoy, send me your feedback and whatever suggestions you may have! Ciao!
Because of the problem where sims were not being promoted and skills were not displaying properly (thank you to everyone who let me know of this issue) I've set all required skills to zero, so as long as your sim goes to work in a good mood, they will be promoted. I've also fixed the GUID issue, the GUID number is now 0x002A9604, and if any of you were getting the "crappy GUID" message, this message will no longer appear. Thank you very, very much for your feedback and help during this time
