Rustic stone 3x1 Starter lot: 19,555 simloeans for the base game version

Base game 3x1 lot, thanks to Andi8104 and MaryLou:
http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=195469

This was made using Numenor's Base Game Starter PRO. I created the lot using only the base game and almost exclusively Maxis content, so it is compatible with all versions of the game. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath lot, ready for up to two sims to start living in it right away. This lot is only partially furnished, so your sims will be living under somewhat rough conditions until they are employed and can bring in enough income for things like a stove and a sink for the bathroom. The zip archive includes a mailbox recolor that I cleaned out of the Sims2Pack file, so you don't have to install it unless you really want it -- I know a lot of people use mailbox covers, so I didn't want to force it on anyone. That optional recolor is the ONLY custom content used in this lot.

I really like rustic and medieval houses, but I've been trying to cut way back on my custom content. This house is as close as I could get to that look with Maxis content on a starter budget.

The space for a driveway can be used as a garden spot if you don't have Nightlife, or perhaps a space for your home business if you have OFB. There is room to put a "Soaking Zone" hot tub under the tree. Just like my other tiny lots, it isn't really expandable unless you want to gut the interior, remove the roof, and add stairs, so keep that in mind before adding family members!

The second version of this house requires University, Nightlife, and OFB. The differences include a partial cone roof, three different plants, more appropriate windows, and more attractive floors in the kitchen and bathroom. It costs 19,878 simloeans. (The mailbox recolor is in this zip as well.)

Both versions of this house suffer from one major flaw: the inability to fit a Maxis dresser anywhere. I recommended this endtable dresser by Merola, which can replace the endtable in the front room: http://www.modthesims2.com/creator/...ead.php?t=40519

GAME TESTING: I started with two CAS sims, and made them start with the jobs in that day's newspaper. Unfortunately, work didn't start until Tuesday, so I couldn't add any furniture for a while. They got by okay without it, and before a week had passed, most of the furniture had been upgraded to something like the screenshot below.

My sims then had a baby and raised her to childhood, using the small bedroom as a nursery until she had grown. They did not suffer from any problems with the layout of the house. The party they threw when the baby became a toddler was a roof raiser with three guests (one of whom stole the gnome). I had the place fully furnished except for the hot tub and the nicest fridge when the Headmaster visited, and he loved the house -- he cheered for every room.

Lot Size: 3x1
Lot Price: 19,555 or 19,878
