The Philosopher
In the 1600's The Dutch developed the fluyt (flojt) merchantman, with a hull that was wide at the waterline and tapered sharply as it rose. This approach maximized the cargo capacity, but the tapering hull also meant that the duties that had to be paid at ports, determined by the width of the ship, were less.
Fluyts were generally lightly armed or unarmed, but there were exceptions. Blackbeard's ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, had over 30 cannons.

This ship is not on a beach lot - the shoreline comes from placing the ship on a tapering shoreline like bluewater village. WARNING: it was designed for the middle of the shore road in bluewater, and if placed on a different shore you may wind up with a flooded hold. This will not affect gameplay, but will limit the space you have to expand. It will work just fine on plain terrain - you just won't have the shore line.

I don't have seasons, but this should be weatherproof - let me know if it's not.
