Only one of the zipped files is necessary to install this lot.***

What started as a lakehouse eventually raised itself into something quite different for a home, with an apartment below that these studios are based on. Playability is not a problem with this lot.

Lot features a pool and private park, wraparound deck and walkway, laundry facility, two garage spaces, and large kitchens. You wouldn't find a kitchen like this in a studio apartment anywhere , at least not where I've been, so it's nice to see in a game, with the possibility of seeing it in real life.

When making lots, you have to take into consideration the measurements used for Sims. My guess is that each square is 4ft2. To allow room for 6" walls, it takes away 3" from one side or more, which makes a 3.5ft space for doorways and toilets. I like doors to be centered in hallways, so I haven't compensated the technique in my lots when it comes to making halls. It's rare that I make 7 ft wide hallways in any of my lots, except for lofts. Additionally, when you consider these measurements on the garage, you might notice that what is presently a one-car garage space may even be suitable for two cars in real life. It uses 5 squares, when 3 squares already equals 12 ft.

I think that you will not be disappointed by this lot or its functions. The only issue I have so far is that repairing the trash compactor may not work (I'm not certain). Simple rearrangement will help that issue. If you have Seasons, you'll be happy to use the greenhouse roof tool for skylights on the flat roof, otherwise, you may even be happier with a normal roof with blue or black slate roofing to match the brick I used. Holy Simoly uses nice brick that I recommend for this building. I busted my Seasons disc, and now K&B doesn't work, so neither of these are necessary to play this lot.

If you're curious about my other lot, the one this is based on, you'll have to keep a look out for the items in the summer showcase at the exchange. If they're doing an apartment or summer showcase, I may enter mine.

Lot Size: 4x6
Lot Price: $163,535

I took influence from websites that featured floorplans for garage apartments, though the floorplan featured in this lot is my own, when I thought if I were to build a garage apartment in real life, I'd almost prefer to use my own design. Plus, it was fun to test out on Sims 2, I'll credit EA.
