I have been wanting to make a duplex for quite some time and I FINALLY completed it!
It's a pretty posh duplex... not one for your seedier sim-neighborhood. The layout of both units is identical, but the fixtures and kitchens/baths are unique to each unit as are the wallcoverings. It's set up with a party wall between the units, but it's pretty easy to keep each sim-family in their respective sides. Amenities: 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, one-car attached garage, deck and fully-fenced backyard. There is only one mailbox and only one garbage can, so your sims will have to share the bills

I'm not sure how well this will run on your respective machines, but it seems to run pretty well on mine. I don't have a ton of sims in this home, though. Each family only has two parents and one child. If it runs slow try to turn down the quality of your graphics and turn your shadows off.

I have tried to change this lot into an apartment and have been unsuccessful in the task. There is something on the lot that it does not like, so for the time being you will not be able to convert this home to an actual duplex if you have AL. If anyone is successful PLEASE PM me.
