Updated: 27th Sep 2008 at 9:16 AM - Redone to work with fewer expansions!
Redone September 27, 2008, to work with only the main expansion packs up
to and including Freetime and the Ikea Home Stuff Pack. Additional add-on
packs are no longer required. If you decide to download it without having the
Ikea Home Stuff pack, the end tables and round lights will disappear. I believe
that's all I used from the Ikea add-on.

After creating two very large, very expensive homes, I decided it was time to
make one that ANY Sim could afford right away. My new house is just under
20k ($19,992), but I did not skimp!
The house rests on a 2X2 lot and has 1 and 3/4 bathrooms. There are three
bedrooms/four beds--five Sims can sleep at the same time, since the bed in
the master bedroom is a double bed. Every bedroom, the kitchen/diningroom,
and the livingroom have phones. There are also plenty of fire alarms.
The diningroom table seats six people. The kitchen stove is NOT the cheapo
1-hunger stove--it's a 10-hunger stove. There's also a trash compactor, a
coffee machine, a microwave, and of course a refrigerator. No dishwasher,
but the kitchen is equipped with the deeper sink. A small stereo boombox is in
the master bedroom and a TV is in the livingroom.
For landscaping there are two flowerbeds out front, each surrounded by
little 'fences'. Two small trees and a colorful shrub round out the front of the
house. The backyard has a large tree, one small tree, and a pond with some
cattails in it. There's also a wide variety of terrain painting, which makes
quite a difference. The 'painting' has changed slightly since the lot now works
with less expansion packs (a few of the terrain paints were only available in
the add-on packs I removed).
The outer house color is a teal hue, which is unusual (I have seen my share
of real houses that were this color, or very close to it).
The original version of this house was almost identical in every way to this
one. Terrain paints outside vary slightly, there are now mirrors above the
bathroom sinks, and two small decorations were taken out (mainly to put the
mirrors in). There's also one less wall section between the kitchen/dining area
and the livingroom, since after thinking about it I decided there was too much
wall to walk around to get to the refrigerator. All pictures below have been
updated to reflect these miniscule visual changes. Thank you!

I said one of these days I'd make this work with far fewer add-ons. And I
have. Enjoy the house!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

About Me
Things I create, you can do anything you want
with them--as long as you don't re-upload them.
Especially to pay sites. When I make custom
content, just give me due credit. That's all I ask.
Thank you.
