I'm finding corner lots fiendishly difficult to build, so when I finally got something working I made three versions of it. You can never have too many corner lots!
I have no idea whether anyone but me is aware of this, but Backdoor Lane lots exist in two flavours: set back from the street by 4 tiles, and set back by 9 tiles – so that they can be plunked down in random order and with a 50% chance the facades will be flush. Hence why there are three versions of this: #60 is set back by 9 tiles on the left and 4 on the right side, #61 is 4 on the left and 9 on the right, and #62 is 4 on both sides. So now you can use these to connect all existing Backdoor Lane lots with distinctive corners, instead of just having rows that end somewhere.
All of these are apartment buildings with five units each. They only have one road in front, so they can be placed like any other lot, not only on corners. You can use the LotAdjuster to make them into actual corner lots (with two roads) if you prefer that. The LotAdjuster can also rotate lots, which might come in handy for corner buildings, and enlarge them, in case your sims want bigger yards.
Note that these are not AL apartments – they're probably not difficult to convert, but seeing as multi-household lots have been around for years (see Backdoor Lane 10 for more info) I don't see a point in making apartments require AL. If you convert them, feel free to post feedback, that's probably useful for others who want to do the same. You can also share any conversions you've made, you don't need to ask me (but please link back to this thread so that people know where to find the non-AL version).
All of these lots require NL, OfB and Seasons. No custom content. I have used an invisible driveway recolour on the screenshots (not included); if you don't already have one I recommend the one by frillen, available here.
All of the lots are shrunk with the LotAdjuster 1.1.
See the followup posts for pictures, info, and downloads for each lot.
Have fun!

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
