Updated: 18th Mar 2012 at 7:15 PM - Updating Information For Sims 3 Showtime

Compatible with Showtime / Current Patch 1.3x

No new updates needed for Showtime, but I will be searching for new objects from Showtime to see if they have upgrade options. Then I will be adding them as I explore Showtime.

----------

Sims 3 Pets Information

Only one object in Pets is upgradable. The water trough (the water tub the horses drink from) has an option to upgrade Auto Filling which means that the water trough is filled with water automatically on its own.

Five flavors to choose from to suit your playing style:

Super Easy - 40 Sim Minutes
Easy - 80 Sim Minutes (1 Sim hour and 20 Sim minutes)
Medium - 320 Sim Minutes (About 5 Sim hours)
Hard - 640 Sim Minutes (About 10 Sim hours)
Super Hard - 1280 Sim Minutes (About 21 Sim hours)

Unmodded - 160 Minutes (EA) (About 2 Sim hours)

Do not ask for a Pescado version. I think the Super Hard version will meet the Pescado Standards to make the Sims suffer through hard labor and pain to upgrade their precious objects.

For other objects to be upgraded, use the GEN version(s). Look below for further details on which objects are upgradable along with what they do.

---------------------------

Sims 3 Generations Information

I did not see anything new to add that had already been included in the mods from all of the previous expansion packs. BUT I will keep an eye out for new objects while I play Generations.

You may use the OLS versions, but keep in mind to choose only one flavor to suit your playing style!

--------------------------------

Sims 3 Outdoor Living Stuff Information

These mods are compatible with OLS as well the electronic dartboard mod. Nothing is needed to be changed for OLS.

--------------------------------------

Updated For Late Night - Feb. 18th 2011

Added Electronic Dartboard Upgrade Times as a separate file.

Easy - 60 Sim Minutes
Medium - 120 Sim Minutes
Hard - 480 Sim Minutes

No Pescado version is available for Late Night!

Updated Information For Late Night

November 28th, 2010:

New Objects:

Hot Tubs
TV
Sinks
Stove
Stereo (Community)
Toilet
Fireplaces

Choose only one flavor to install:

Estimated Times:

Easy (Takes anywhere from 40 minutes to around 120 minutes to upgrade)
Medium (Takes anywhere from 80 minutes to around 200 minutes to upgrade)
Hard (Takes anywhere from 320 minutes to around 660 minutes to upgrade)

Sorry about not making a Pescado-style flavor for those of you who want harder upgrade mods!

NOTE:

The new Late Night mods contain ONLY the files for the Late Night objects. These objects will have purple icons with green plumbobs to clearly indicate they're Late Night objects in Buy and Build Mode (by EA default for Late Night).

Sims 3 Late Night

The AM versions seem to be working all right for Late Night. Use any of the AM versions to fit your play style.

If there is an object that you see in LN (ONLY LN) that is upgradable, please post your requests in the thread!

Updated Information For Sims 3 Ambitions

June 15th 2010:

Upgrade Times - No Aquarium - AM is fixed. Re-download if you have the mod before June 15th 2010.

NOTE:

Only one of the two windmills has upgrade options. Keep that in mind.

The microwaves have only ONE upgrade, and that's through the Tinker interaction. Blame EA for their shoddy work on the microwaves.

June 13th, 2010:

Two new versions are available now without the fish tank from HELS:

UpgradeTimes-NoAquarium-HELS
UpgradeTimes-NoAquarium-AM

The above versions should be compatible with RainbowBrite's Fish Tank Capacity Mods. Those mods only affect the fish tank, not the fish bowl from what I understand.

OLD NEW NEWS:

Please re-download if you have one of the three mods before June 11th, 2010. The mods should be complete now with all upgradable objects that I could find and include.

Several more items have been added to Upgrade Times - AM (Easy, Medium and Hard). These items are only from Ambitions.

What's included:

Fire Alarm
Fire Extinguisher
Stylist station (New)
Tattoo chair (New)
Solar Panel (New)
Windmill (New)

The mods (Easy, Medium and Hard) contained all of the files I could find that affect the amount of time to upgrade the objects. I could find no more objects to include with these mods.

Sims 3 Ambitions and HELS - Update Information

"Upgrade Times - AM", is available now for those who has Ambitions installed as their latest EP. "Upgrade Times - HELS" is available now for those who has HELS installed as their latest EP.

Upgrade Times - AM has everything included (Sims 3 to AM). There is no need to install the HELS version with this one.

Upgrade Times - HELS has everything (Sims 3 to WA). There is no need to install the WA version with this one.

Time Travel Machine (Ambitions only)
Teleporter
Fire Alarm (Ambitions only)
Fire Extinguisher (Ambitions only)

Pick only ONE flavor to suit your playing style: Easy, Medium or Hard (Pescado-style).

AMBITIONS NOTE:

The dryers (both Cheap and Expensive) can't be upgraded since they don't have upgrade scripts. Fire extinguishers can't be upgraded by anyone but firefighters. I was not able to locate an upgrade script for the object to put fires out.

ALSO, there is new information about how to install mods for Sims 3 Ambitions. Please go here for directions setting up the folders and installing the mods. MTS also has tech help for any issue you may have with running your game or using mods for your game.

Do not post your issues with the game here. I do not provide support for your game. I only provide support for my mods.

Minor detail to keep in mind:

Your Sim must have at least 1 Handiness skill point before the Tinker option becomes available on any object that can be upgraded. Your Sim then must have at least 3 Handiness skill points before the Upgrade options become available on any object that can be upgraded.

DESCRIPTION:

The mods, Upgrade Times, alter the amount of time spent upgrading an object based on the level of difficulty. The level of difficulty is based on the type of upgrade being done to an object. Sims will still spend almost an equal amount of time upgrading the object whether the Sims has the Handiness trait or not.

*The Tinker option on these objects is also affected by the amount of time used to tinker/upgrade an object.*

You need to have your Sim tinker an object first before you can get any upgrade options available on that particular object you want to upgrade. This is by EA design.

The upgrades affect the following objects:

Stoves (all)
Sinks (all)
Tubs (all)
Showers (all)
Toilets (all)
Food Replicator
Trash Compactor
Nectar making machine *Available with World Adventures*
Fortune Cookie machine *Available with World Adventures*
TVs (all)
Doorbell
Stereos (all including the wiring throughout the house option)
Teleporter
Water Sprinkler
Microwave (maybe - Haven't tested this)
Time Travel Machine *Available with Ambitions*
Fire Alarm *Available with Ambitions*
Fire Extinguisher *Available with Ambitions*
Stylist station *Available with Ambitions*
Tattoo chair *Available with Ambitions*
Solar Panel *Available with Ambitions*
Windmill *Available with Ambitions*

Upgrade Times (3 Flavors):

Easy - Up to at least 1 to 2 hours total time
Medium - Up to at least 2 to 3 hours total time
Hard - Up to at least 3 to 5 or 6 hours total time

CAUTION:

Use only ONE flavor, not all of them.

NOTE:

Easy is twice the half of the time as the default Maxis/EA times. Medium is half the time of the default Maxis/EA times for upgrading the objects. Hard is twice as long as the default Maxis/EA times for upgrading the objects.

SPECIAL NOTE:

If I made a 4th flavor to make it harder than the Hard flavor, I will simply drain my own Sim's life away while their children grow up and have their own families before my Sim will finally finish upgrading an object. So do not ask for a "Pescado-style" version.

INSTALL:

For XP users, install in the following location:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\Mods\Packages

You must have the framework set up to force Sims 3 to recognize and use the mods. Or use Delphy's TS3 Monkey Install Helper to install the mod the easy way.

For Vista and Windows 7 players, install the mod accordingly in the location you keep your mods in.

I don't use either Vista or Windows 7 and can't help you with the install issues. Please look on other Sims 3 forums for instructions installing the mods.

VERSION:

Available for World Adventures only at this time. You must have your game patched up to 2.3.x for World Adventures.
