When I discovered the Medieval Challenge Banner, I was immediately all for it. But why are all of us so fascinated by the 'dark age'? I mean, isn't it somehow sadistic to let your Simmies live without comuters, cars or television?

This challenge was the perfect excuse for me to extend my magic neighbourhood with a medieval-like town. In addition Open for Business and the crafting stations from Freetime give the townies the great opportunity to earn money without having a 'job' but being a baker, potter or tailor. I wonder that I did not realise that untill now.

Please bear in mind that this lot shell be medieval-like not medieval. I know, especially the interiors look way to modern. This is for several reasons, though. For Example I did not want to miss a certain degree of comfort when furnishing or tried to avoid using to much custom content. I have a really great set of medieval furniture, unluckily I cannot remember were I got it from and therefore cannot include it.

The shop in the ground floor may look empty and boring. Well, actually it is empty and boring. I think it is up to your Simmies to fill the tables and shelves with food to sell. It will look much better then, too.

The walls included were made by me. There is nothing special about them, I simply changed the colour parameters of a original wall. If you do not want them just install the lot via the Sims2Pack Clean Installer and uncheck the walls. However, since I got sick of all my houses being white, I do like their light green colour.

Note: As Jasana's cellar must not be included in lot uploads the house is missing a fridge. You can eighter use a standard fridge or get the very atmospheric here.
Also check Adele's profile, she made the not-very-medieval-like-but-awesome sofa I just could not resist to use.
