SCREENSHOTS
If you're looking for a bit of retro flair, then you've come to the right place. This house is stuck somewhere between the 50s and the 60s, and comes complete with blue kitchen appliances, retro stonework, and a rec room with regrettably upholstered furniture. It's a swell house, in other words, and the neighbors will be jealous when your Sims are able to throw the best cocktail parties in town.
I actually built this house a long time ago, back when MTS was hosting its foundation contest (the footprint is from the first round, if you were wondering), and I'm only just getting around to uploading it now. The house has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, as well as a rec room and a home office downstairs. I also did a bit of research on different paint colors from this era, so the coral bathroom, avocado dining room, and teal-ish exterior are more or less authentic.
This house was also partially inspired by the trailer for a computer game that I will probably never buy--so you can go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back if you thought it looked vaguely familiar.
I didn't use any custom for this house, and it requires World Adventures and Late Night to use.
Furnished: $78,034
Unfurnished: $50,460
Note: Be sure to click on the main entrance on the upper level and set it as the front door once you move a family in (unless you want to use the back door as the main entrance).

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
