This is a 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath house on a 4x4 lot; cost as furnished is $74,471. This house was requested on a thread in the build forum here:

CycloneSue did a fine job on this house earlier; but there were some things about building this that interested me, so this is my take. The actual plans gave options for 1 or 2 bedrooms, but 2 bedrooms were a squeeze in the attic, and I went with the single large bedroom. Nothing was specified for the basement so I am using that as a rec room (TV, bar, etc).
The main thing I noticed during play-testing was the basement entrance is considered the main entrance. There is so little flat space at the front door that this is probably desirable, but it pretty much prevents using the basement as a bedroom area. It also means that Sims going to work/school tend to go through the basement which lengthens the trip to the curb. On the whole though, the Sims got around the house better than I expected for such a vertical house.
This house contains no hacks or custom content.

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
