Recent Updates

Update 9/21/21
  • Fixed an issue where Health Nuts didn't consider teaching or joining a group yoga class to be exercise.
  • Updated French translations by Candyman.

Update 9/7/21
  • Updated for compatibility with the new patch.
  • The High Maintenance trait has been renamed "Lavish" to avoid confusion with the new Maxis trait. It's also been given a shiny new icon.

Update 7/21/21
  • Updated for compatibility with the new patch.

Update 7/1/21
  • All activity detection is now much more responsive and reliable.
  • The "Feeling Sluggish" failure moodlet for Health Nuts now has an indefinite length and your Sim will remain stressed out until they participate in some form of cardio or yoga.
  • High Maintenance Sims now dislike gardening and woodworking by default.
  • High Maintenance Sims are now 25% less successful at actions they don't like, where applicable.
  • High Maintenance Sims are now even less likely to autonomously clean the house, and are more likely to autonomously lounge around or take care of their hygiene need.
  • High Maintenance Sims now react differently depending on their preferences. If they have the "Likes Cooking" or "Likes Baking" preferences, they will not become stressed from cooking. The same is true for repairs and woodworking if they have "Likes Handiness" or the Tinker trait, and gardening if they have "Likes Gardening" or the Horticulturist trait.
  • Updated German translation by LittleDog1002.

Update 5/27/21
  • Updated for compatibility with the new patch.
  • New Spa Day Traits now includes a separate file just called "NewSpaDay.package". This allows for better compatibility with other mods and is where I will be adding the in-game settings menu in the future.
  • Added Build Buy preferences to the following traits:
    • Health Nuts want a home gym to practice their fitness and wellness skills.
    • High Maintenance Sims prefer a home spa, where they can enjoy a mud bath, a massage, or a hot sauna.

Update 5/3/21
  • New Spa Day Traits now uses a custom settings file. It can be found in your saves folder (Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves\Kuttoe)
    • You can set the number of days before Health Nuts get stressed out from not exercising (default is 1.5 days)
    • Please note: there is currently no interface in the game for changing the settings, so you will need to edit them using Notepad or a text editor
  • New Spa Day Traits now generates a log file in the folder where it is installed to help diagnose mod issues.
  • The High Maintenance trait has had a bit of tune up, especially for compatibility with the "Bust the Dust" kit.
  • Sims with High Maintenance trait are far less likely to autonomously start cleaning or cooking.
  • Sims with High Maintenance trait now correctly get stressed out by vacuuming.
  • Sims with High Maintenance trait now perceive the dust level in a house more harshly than other Sims. Starting at Dusty, they will act as though the house is a full level worse than it actually is. If the house reaches Filthy, they will completely freak out.

This trait pack adds two new Lifestyle traits which integrate into the features of the Spa Day game pack and give you a few new reasons to visit a spa lot. Each trait comes with new moodlets, social interactions with custom loots and speech bubbles, and whim sets.

Traits
- Health Nut
These Sims take their health and wellness very seriously. They get powerful moodlets from yoga, and will enjoy other forms of cardio, using a sauna, and drinking tea.

- Lavish
These Sims abhor menial tasks and household chores, but their mood will immediately improve when they are pampered. They see cooking, cleaning, and especially doing repairs as beneath them, and demand some time set aside for soaks in a bath or hot tub, or deep tissue massages. Consider hiring a maid or a butler for them!

Installation
Add one or both traits to your mod folder as desired. Keep all package files and script files paired together in order for the social interactions to work properly. Since this is a script mod, these traits can only be placed one folder deep.

Settings File
The settings file for the mod is kept in the folder "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves\Kuttoe". To change your settings, open the "[Kuttoe] NewSpaDayTraits_Settings.cfg" file with notepad or any text editor and change the numbers to your desired values. The number must be positive and can use decimal points.
healthnut_cooldown_days- The number of days a Health Nut Sim must go without taking part in physical activity before they start getting failure moodlets. Default value is 1.5.

Compatibility
These traits require the Spa Day game pack for proper functionality.
