I found this article: 62 Beautiful Vintage Home Designs from the 1920s, and got inspired! I chose to do this one first - it looked simple enough - and I knew I had the perfect shake siding...

My plan is to recreate these "original, authentic, un-modified, 1920s floor plans" as accurately as possible within the constraints of the TS2 game mechanics. There is no way to do this completely CC-free, but CC will be kept to a minimum - and only necessary build-mode items will be used. Most of these houses will be on small 2X2 lots, most will have basements, and most will have only one bathroom *gulp* (That is the way they were designed! It's much nicer than the alternative - running to the outhouse at 2am...) I have built about fifteen 1920s houses so far (that are worth sharing) and of those fifteen, I broke down and added a half bath/powder room to two of them *sigh* I couldn't help it, I had the extra room, and they needed it.

But, back to THIS house:

This is a small house in the Craftsmen Style, and offers 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, basement and garage. The rooms are small, but quite manageable - it is minimally furnished with a bed, dining table, and an easy chair. The bathroom has both a tub and a shower, The kitchen has a range, refrigerator, dishwasher, trash chute, and sink. The telephone is on the wall in the kitchen.

Please scroll through all the included pictures to see everything this sweet little house has to offer.

This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer.
Pictures were taken with Invisible Fire Alarms in place, but the lot is packaged without that mod. So, you will see the fire alarm over the range in the kitchen.
The fireplace in the living room does NOT have an alarm (I forgot it, sorry - you have been warned!)
Pictures were also taken with the Invisible Driveway, but the lot is not packaged with it.
I highly recommend both invisifying options! .

CC list - used but NOT included - so, GO get it:
- Lifestyle Build Bundle - It's the second link in the top post - extracted from Lifestyle Stories by Argon @ MATY. Shake Siding and many other wallpapers used in this series comes from this bundle.
- Chic Stairs Open Underneath by Huge Lunatic (HL) @ MTS2 - these require a script file so follow the link and make sure you install them properly!
- Chic Stairs REC in Weathered Madeira by iCad @ MTS2
- White VIP Door REC by gabilei123 @ MTS2
- Roof Supports by MustLuvCatz - you will need the MASTER part of this set, or it will be missing textures and flash blue when you load the lot.

...and I highly recommend getting:
- Invisible Smoke Alarm by pfish @ MTS2
- Invisible Driveway by Sophie-David @ MTS2

Custom Content Included:
- Maxis Chic Modular Stairs - made recolorable by Huge Lunatic (HL) @ MTS2 - no script file needed as these override the original stairs.
- Maxis VIP Door as 1T by Huge Lunatic (HL) @ MTS2
- Chic fence recol in Weathered Madeira by iCad @ MTS2
- Chic Corner Steps by Spaik/slaved by HL @ Sims2Artists
- Cement Corner Steps by HL @ GoS
- The Wellwisher Door by LeeFish @ LeeFish
- Craftsmen Window - made recolorable by tBudgett @ MTS2 - this file overrides the original Maxis Symmetric Poly-Molecular Matrix Window
- Roof Supports by MustLuvCatz @ MTS2

Standard mods I use that are not necessary nor included - but were probably used whilst building/photo-ing/prepping this house for upload...
I use Moi's Roof Shader for brighter roofs
Maranatah's White Wall Top texture replacement
Moo's Turn On/Off Lights
Menaceman's Lunatech Lighting Fix
BeosBoxBoy's no-red-pause-mod
Nopke's Go Under Spiral Stairs mod for proper spiral stair usage
And, of course, everyone needs Numenor's CEP and SEP!
I also use FRAPs to take in-game pictures, and PhotoShop to clean/collage said pictures.
And, I highly recommend using gummilutt's Invisible Medicine Cabinet to add features to any mirror - as per her policy, it's not used or included in this lot.

Lot Size: 2x3
Lot Price (furnished): $34,384
