This is based on fwiffo's multi-PT mod, except that it uses eight pollination technicians instead of four. I'm pretty sure it works, but I'm not absolutely sure, as I need more data. Hence the "Testers Wanted" bit.
The Pollination Technicians themselves are basically just variations on the techs that come in the game, some mixed with a bit of elf pointy-eared ness, and generally going for a "would this fit in the Smith family tree?" sort of theme. There's also a super-secret special prize inside, the only one in this package that I really like. It should actually be pretty obvious once you download the file, but I want it to be a surprise, because I'm pointless like that.
If you have a moment, listing the PTs that you get and the number of times you've gotten each of them will help me greatly in determining exactly how random these coinflips are. My game seems to weight some of the techs more heavily than others, but given the general screwyness of anything having to do with random generation in this game, I need some more data to be exactly sure what it's doing.
If you have fwiffo's hack, I very much advise against putting in this hack without taking the old one out first. You're welcome to mess with this to your hearts content, including using all eight of his techs with this instead of mine. The code is almost identical, except for an extra layer of coinflips.
Beyond that . . . this is my first hack, so if I committed some grave breach of protocol in the posting, I apologize.
Oh, yes, and although I only tested this in Uni, I'm pretty sure it should work in the original. If fwiffo's worked in your game, this should work too, and if it doesn't it's my fault for accidentally bugifying it.
