A small complaint (very tiny ) : When a sim watches from the bed and you ask them to change the channel, they simply turn the tv off. At least they do in my game when I try to change from the sports channel...

You're right, Jabberdau; it's a bug that I've tried many times to fix but I couldn't (those damn BHAVs )

I am trying to download this hack but it won't let me...I hadn't had trouble with some of the other hacks...Why would this be happening...?

Quick question, you said to put this in the root directory not in subfolder like all hacks.
I have never had hacks in my root directory and have always kept them is a subfolder called hacks. So far they have all worked just fine even after installing NL. Is there a special reason why this wouldn't work like the others?

Numenor, I tested this in a subfolder called Hacks (similar to Azmara's setup) and this works fine. I directed my Sim to watch TV and then I directed her to clean the fish tank. She turned off the TV before heading to the fish tank. So this does work perfectly well in a subfolder, too.

Oh, I'm sorry if I've given an unaccurate information. Since I've read in many threads that with the Nightlife the hacks only if located in the root downloads, I suggested to keep my hack in the root, just like any other hack.

But I'm glad to know that hacks work even if located in subfolder!

Is this compatible with OFB?

I would hate to lose this hack. I have about 20 sims (that I play in rotation) and not a single one of them will turn of the stupid tv. The noise drives me crazy!

Yes, I've tested in my OFB game and the hack works fine: the sims always turn off the TV

Squinge has a mod that prevents Sims from changing the channel. There's also a version of it that prevents them from turning the TV off (the opposite of this mod.) And he has one that doesn't allow any autonomous watching of TV at all. Presumably all of these hacks and this one of Numenor's would conflict with each other, so it's a matter of picking one. Squinge's stuff is at www.insimenator.net

Thanks, Numenor. I have several of your mods, and have been using this one since before I got the first EP. Your work has always been some of the most reliable.

Is there any chance you've done something similar for the computer? I saw one somewhere that would make them always leave it ON, but that's the opposite of what I am looking for.

*Edit* Sorry, I found where Squinge had already done the computer version over on the InSim site.

Yes, I regularly use it with Pets and it works fine for me; and no user reported so far any problem.
