Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
SoHo is a residential neighborhood in New York City and home to many interesting shops, art galleries, and restaurants.
The buildings in the historic and residential district date from the late 19th century and originally housed warehouses, factories and sweatshops. They eventually were converted into apartments with businesses on the ground floor. The neighborhood rose to fame as a neighborhood for artists and bohemians during the 1960s and 1970s. This series called Living in Soho is my recreation of that neighborhood.

SoHo Downtown is a very active area with Clothing Shops, Coffee Bar, Beauty Salon and more. It is set up as a neighborhood shopping area and has cross streets, bus stop, glass enclosed phone booth, and traffic lights.

First Building is an office building with a lobby. The buillding contains a business office, robot factory and a studio penthouse with access to a roof garden and greenhouse. Next door is an upscale 2 story boutique. The cafe is across the street. The second floor is unfurnished and can be used for another business or to expand the coffeeshop. Next building ground floor has a beauty salon, nightclub on 2nd floor, and third floor is empty. There is a small deli on the corner. Behind the coffeeshop is a community park with chess tables

Lot was played and/or moved into. No Glitches or bugs were detected. Please enjoy this lot and let me know if you have any problems.

Sim "mannequins" are my sim that are posed and not included. They are just shown for decorative effect
Boolprop, move objects used for decorative effects
move objects needed to place floor tiles on sidewalk to create street effect
Buildings behind lot in the pictures are Neighborhood props and not part of the lot. They can be found [URL=]here

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

I absolutely LOVE this series. <3 Thanks so much for the second installment, it looks fantastic! I don't think I have room in my neighborhood for a 5 tile lot though...I'll have to shuffle things around. It's a pain when you're using a gridded neighborhood. xD Thank you!

This is awesome, great job! Nice urban area for shopping.

If it ain't broke, take it apart and start swatting with a hammer until you just see shards of garbage.

Wendylady, the mannequins are just sims that I posed in the window. I used them just for a decorative effect. If you would like to pose your own sims, there is a game mod you can find by decorgal21572.

I love this collection. Very New York!

Without having the shops STUFF Pack, mannequins are scarce. However, there are a couple here:

I share your enthusiasm for urban construction! The Living in Soho Series will fit in perfectly with my Madhattan Palisades neighborhood. I was in search of a City College when I came upon your creation of such and then found this series! Bravo.
