This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
This is a functional juice blender that sims can use to make juice from apples, pears, carrots, tomatos, blackberries, grapes, or oranges.

Update 2016-03-05: Updated with the rest of the Italian translation, revised Dutch translation, and Polish translation for the orange juice.

The blender has various options:
  • Blend Juice ‒ for a single glass
  • Serve Juice ‒ for a pitcher
  • Clean/Repair like on the tea machine; Upgrade is (partly) changed to have custom strings

All juices require ingredients -- one fruit/vegetable for a single serving, six for a group serving. Ingredients are taken either from the sim or the fridge inventory (stuff in the fridge comes first). The better the ingredients are, the better the juice; but I’ve tuned it so that sims will drink “Okay” quality juice without making faces and ewwww-bleh noises (i.e. Okay actually means Okay, not “tastes like puddle”).

The juices are basically like the Maxis orange juice, just with different colours and more low-polyness and additional half-full states. (Or half-empty states? Discuss! )

Available in Small Appliances for 180§, teens and older can use it.

The whole thing still has room for improvement (actually, two rooms), but since I didn't get anywhere I just finished everything else and decided to upload as is for now, instead of fiddling forever:
  • It is using the unchanged tea machine animations (including props, see the “Prepare” screenshots -- sims pour tea leaves into the machine etc), because in order to make custom ones *and* have sims route to the object right at the start, I would have to override S4_7DF2169C_00000000_0000000000003FCC cooking_Counter.xml (bad idea) or add on to it, and I haven’t yet figured out how to do the latter. I assume it’s possible to do that (and probably even quite simple once you know how), but for now, there are tea leaves. The sounds are also from the tea machine but they actually fit quite well ‒ the boiling water is not too unlike mashing fruits into pieces. Use your imagination!

  • Right now the juice in the pitcher and machine (behind the glass) only has one colour option (it is always orange); I haven’t quite figured out yet how to set material states on the crafting object without breaking the actual crafting. Ideally this should of course match the colour of the juice that is being blended. This is also why it has only one olour option overall at the moment (black/dark grey, like on the screenshots).

Also, on the “Prepare” screenshots + some others, the glass parts still have a different shader ‒ the final object looks like on the first three screenshots, where the glass on the pitcher is a bit milky (that is on purpose, to make the wrongly-coloured juice less obvious).

Localisation:

Blender and juices speak the following languages: US English (pbox), Simplified Chinese (wuccwzt), Traditional Chinese (egureh), Czech (Rynka_CS), Dutch (ElenaInTheSims), French (PharaohHound/Damabiah/MiniMimi), German (pbox), Italian (Ele88), European Portuguese (azoresman/simshout), Brazilian Portuguese (matheusmm94), Norwegian (therbon), Polish (hubi98), Russian (thesimsclub), Spanish (gato_24). Thank you all!

The additional orange juice has Engish, German, Dutch, Norwegian and French (I hope I got those right -- I learned all my Dutch from Sinaasappelsap packages! ), as well as Chinese (egureh), Italian (ele88), Polish (Piesek64), and Czech (Rynka_CS).

More contributions welcome; see here if you want to translate mods but don’t know how.

Two questions and a report now that I have used it in my game.
Do you intend to adjust the hover text for the upgrades so that they reference juice instead of coffee?
Is it possible to make it so that children can help themsleves to juice that has already been made instead of having to direct an adult to drink one and then cancel it before directing a child to grab it? (or is that limited by the pour animation?)
As for the report, when my child Sim finished the drink, instead of going to a regular empty state, the glass went empty but also had one of every glass decoration attached to it, e.g. umbrella, lemon slice, lime slice, etc. Once I picked it up and dropped it down again it was fine.

Regarding the texts, seems like I missed something, thank you! All the texts that I saw were just generic ("Upgrade Infuser" and such) so I didn't see a need to change anything there. I'll take a second look.

Regarding grab interactions; someone asked that about tea as well today -- that interaction isn't a specific one for this blender, it's the standard "Grab", so it works like the game thinks it should work. Children do not have an animation for it so it's not enabled for them. If I do something about that (ie. add an interaction for children with a different animation, or override the JAZZ or whatever) that's going to be a different upload though.

Regarding the umbrellas, do you happen to remember what kind of juice that was? They are all separate objects; maybe one of them has a wrong state linked.

Are there any benefits to drinking the juice? Would be great to get moodlets & maybe have it heal sicknesses.

Please post in Create if you want to know how to add moodlets to things. This thread is not a wishlist. Apart from that, the Remedy stuff for the juices is the same as in orange juice, so if anything doesn't work right with that, it would very likely be a game issue.

@Menaceman44 , regarding your umbrella issue: could it be that you still have the version that was posted in Feedback somewhere in your Mods folder? Because that one had juice meshes that were based on the bar juices (so they had a state that I didn't use, with umbrellas and ice cubes etc) -- the ones in this version are based on a fruitshake though, which does not have such fancy things. I think the object definitions are the same as in the old version, so that could be what's confusing your game.

Also, I found the texts that you meant (in the tooltips, right? "For Coffee lovers who want better tasting coffee" etc) -- yeah I didn't see those. I'm not sure whether I can change them though, see note in the OP about the stupid Counter tuning. =/

Having the same issue with the umbrella drink, it happened with the blackberry one. Just re-downloaded it though and I'm about to test it, will let you know...
Also, was wondering, when it comes to the "grab drink" thing...could one do that without animations, and just have the drink just pop into their inventory and they can drink it from there? Have no idea how that kinda thing works though, maybe that's just as difficult for all I know :P

...nope...still getting the umbrella drink glass when it's empty, this time it was carrot juice (don't have the ingredients for the others, not sure if it's for all of them)

I just saw this, too. I downloaded yesterday directly from this thread. The very first drink my sim made, blackberry juice, and the empty state glass was with umbrellas, also filled with drink and ice cubes. Although my sim could do nothing with it but clean it in the dishwasher.

Okay, then apparently the Maxian "Empty Tumbler" isn't all that empty =P .. I'll try explicitely setting the state on that, and if that doesn't help just make a custom empty one.

Can the umbrella people please check if the version below solves the issue? I don't seem to have the umbrella phenomenon either way ..

Okay, thank you -- I'll update that then.

Regarding the strings in the tooltips: it actually works to replace that interaction (sims still route to the object just fine) -- however, when I replace those strings that means they will be English only until they've all been translated. So what I did now is only change the most "offending" one (which explicitely mentions coffee twice) but not the two that only say "brewer" instead of "blender", since I don't even know if that's not perhaps more generic ("machine" or somesuch) in other languages anyway.

New string in the package that needs translations:

0xA658A311 "For sims who want the best tasting juice."

Strings not yet in the package that I'll only put in once I have a reasonable number of translations (otherwise I think that would be one step forward, two steps back):

0xB9A7BD8B "Upgrade complete!\n\n{0.SimFirstName} has finished installing the brewer upgrade."
0xBE2C0C94 "This Upgrade keeps the brewer cleaner longer."

If the translators have the time, it would be cool if you could add that =). You can simply post here in the thread, since the latter two do not yet exist in the package anyway. TIA!

Yes, lovely. Works a treat now. All empty glasses are empty and umbrella free. Thanks, plasticbox. (Although, seeing that tomato juice has actually got me now hankering for a Bloody Mary. Haven't had one of those in decades. Right then, adding vodka and tomato juice to my Saturday shopping list. What else goes with that? Worcestershire sauce? Now look what you've started... I'll raise a glass to you )
