This really looks great, but i don't want it to replace the maxis one i use the most.
is it possible for me to change what one it replaces?

Gorgeous, I'm looking forward for more face replacements from you! And brilliant idea to use Milkshape for doing the faces instead of Bodyshop!

Impressive work .. Very good and very worked. Thank you. But I doubt .. Are these expensive to replace the maxis in the game? What about a "bodyshop"?

I love you. I hope you make more faces. I still use your skins as defaults. I've been looking for more realistic face templates with wider faces. I can't wait for more! No rush, though!

You have no idea how the narrowness of sim faces has plagued me. I love this so very much.

It looks good!

I'm the type who likes to do one person's set of templates for awhile, and then trade out others for the maximum variety--so if you end up doing a whole set of faces like you plan, I'd gladly use them. And appreciate them very much.

Thank you very much!! They're an excellent work!
Just a question: I downloaded several months ago another pack of facetemplates replacements made by you. If I put this new ones in my downloads folder, would I have to delete first the olders?
Thanks.

This is a fantastic initiative. There's a problem though when like in my case, where I replaced ALL the CAS sculptured faces by improved models. When I did this, I tested one by one so that they matched simetrically. This means that I can make descendents with whatever model and never get a deformed child. This was the most important detail to take into consideration. The original models were made just to be alike something I don't know what (maybe the Simpsons characters). When you place nose, mouth and eyes into comparison, you notice that by blending two very different models, you get mouth and nose too close or too far. There's a limit for placement of the eyes orbits and it can cause that the final look is of a swollen face.
I know it is a very difficult question, once I took about 4 years adjusting faces. I started as soon as the first possibility to make those changes was out online, so when I claim about something is because I tried to exaustion. I practically made about 100 babies with every adjusted face and spend inumerous hours making combinations in CAS to prevent misformed Sims in game. Even so, some cases happen sporadically.

All those bla-bla-bla is more or less to suggest that new templates are created instead of rough replacement.
I heard of the existance of tutorials here in MTS2 on how to create new face templates to be additional models.
My partner informed about someone probably named Argon (or similar) that made one template. If there are many new empty templates available, it is possible a joint work where people that can mesh, can create new faces and people that can test, can well - do it.

Oooh, this is lovely!

May I make a suggestion? When you make the other replacements, go for more realistic versions of the ethnicities EA was trying for (and did so badly on), and not just caucasian people. Diversity is beautiful!

I really really love what you do! I'm very bad at modelling original faces so this is for me! Thank you sooo much for all the beautiful things your share with us.

Great work! This is the first default replacement that I actually wanted to download and use. Thanks a bunch!

I will search for that tutorial and will try 2 versions. One replacing Maxis faces and one adding.

Edit: I have found and will try: HOWTO: Creating non-replacement archetypes- UD 7/20/07

Edit2: Oh my god, it seems to be very difficult. I've tried but don't understand what to do: "Updating references".

Does anyone know where the skintone and the eyes are from?
Amazing work by the way!

I have created the skintone by blending some of jirkas skintones and some of my together. And the eyes are by a model by jirka.

Absolutely beautiful! Amazing! Great work on the face modelling, I just can't wait for your next work on facetemplates. But you created a perfect skintone!!! I like jirka's realism but don't use those skins in game because of too heavy makeup effect (for my taste). Did I mention your edition is perfect? Now I only hope you'll find a way to upload it... Thank you very very much!

I like the template, too. Unfortunately I use the original one as my primary "fix" when I oversculpt a face and have to reset the features a bit. So maybe I'll have to download this one after you make one that doesn't over-ride the Maxis one, or after I finish a batch of sims I'm working on. I do also love what you did with Jirka's skintone. I hope Jirka lets you release this as a joint-credit project. It would be amazing to see the results of blending the work of two masters of skinning, you and Jirka. I hope it can happen! There are some special touches only you can put on a skin, and special things only Jirka can do, and to blend them is brilliant, as we can see from the photos!

Thank you. I could never get the heart shaped face down - mainly because I wanted to make a realistic self sim. So, thank you so much. These look awesome.

Wow, this is the best face template I've ever seen! I can't wait for the rest of the set!

Oh, and are you planning on uploading the skintone blends? I would LOVE a default version of those.

*Edit* Never mind, I see the skintone's available at your site.
