Version 2.7.2.0 is available. Includes a fix for transparency hair that's dark or very shiny.

If you're getting that error in the Autoconvert tool, it's been fixed. Please make sure you're using the latest version.

there is not any fix that solves the problem when you check the bones with the pogram that the mesh above does not encounter problems with that below because when you move the sim where the collar is you see the mesh white underneath

I can't tell you how to solve it from only a picture without seeing the meshes and textures in the package. It could be mesh problem, a texture problem, or a bone assignment problem.

In the future, please post about specific projects in the Create / CAS Parts forum: http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=702 You should post here only if you think CAS Tools is causing the problem.

Again: I can't help without seeing the package and the mesh you're converting. And please post in the Create / CAS Parts forum, this isn't the place for project problems and I'm not going to answer them here.

It turned out to be a problem in CAS Tools with some full body meshes, sorry. Here is a new version, please use it to do the arms fix and it should work this time.

Hello,

I have a issue with TS4 cas tool since always, this wasn't bothering me that much at first, but now this is a bit embarrassing
The problem is when I choose a EA CAS item and a color/pattern that I've already choose for an other CC, and then click new custom content:

After that, I put my new mesh into Clone Package Editor-> Mesh Manager, save, and put a texture on it.

When I only put this CC on my mod folder, it looks great

But if I put in my cc folder the other mesh I made with the same EA CAS item and color/pattern (which look like that):

The mini skirt i've made now looks like that:

It's like the mini skirt take the mesh of the cat skirt but the textures still here But when I delete the cat skirt from my mod folder, the mini skirt will again looks good with no issue

I don't know if I'm clear because english isn't my native langage, but I've tried my best by adding few images to illustrate what I said

Thanks in advance !

The way CAS Tools works is that the name of the item (in the recolors tab) is used to calculate the id number the game uses to identify it. If you clone the same EA item and colors twice and don’t change the name at all, the two packages will have the same names and the same identifiers, and there will be confusion in the game. What you should do is give the item a new name when you first clone it.

Since I think a lot of people don’t change the name, I can include random numbers in the naming in the next version of CAS Tools, to prevent this. Thanks for bringing it up!

I run the .exe as an admin but still getting the error message "You do not have the required permissions to access the game packages folder! Please restart with admin privileges." "CAS Tools was unable to open the game packages; cloning cannot be done."

I run the program on W8.1, any idea of what can I do?

Could the game have been installed under a different account? If so you can try running CAS Tools with that account. Otherwise you'd have to go to the game files location and look at the ownership and permissions on those folders and files.

After seeing the folder's permissions one by one, I set them manually and now it seems it's working. Thanks

Hi! So I am having an issue where my original custom thumbnail that I uploaded into the package keeps getting all skewed in-game, and then when I go to check it out in CAS tools, it has changed in there as well. I've included some images to help you understand what's happening.

This is the original thumbnail I've uploaded for the Blue eyes.

This is how it shows up in-game.

And when I go back into CAS tools, the thumbnail has changed.

Any insights are appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Absolutely. I've attached it below. Everything about the mod works perfectly. Shows up in game fine. I want to upload this for others to use, or else I wouldn't care as much about the thumbnails not working since the mod itself is functioning as it should be.

Thank you for having a look!

Okay, that really threw me for a while!

It's the image dimensions - the thumbnail for makeup (and most CAS Parts) should be 104 x 148. When I resized the .png it worked fine. Exactly why it did this I'm not sure but I have a feeling it's because the width of your images is an odd number that doesn't play well with conversion to the EA thumbnail format. I'll look into it and do something to prevent the problem, probably by resizing on import.

Ahhh thank you so much! I wondered initially if I was supposed to have it at a specific size but I didn't really see anything that said what the dimensions needed to be, so I thought maybe I was uploading in the wrong picture format. Thank you so much for looking into this. I will keep those dimensions in mind when making mods from now on. Thank you again for your time!
