This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.

Castle Le Fay by Tatiana

This is a 4x4 lot (5br/5ba) valued at $169,068 and comes fully furnished.
This specific package has been played/tested for 10 sim days so please forgive a few weeds in the lawn.
It requires everything up to & including Bon Voyage.

I created 37 new walls, 1 picture mesh and 3 rug recolours for this lot.
Many thanks to all of the talented artists who's inspiring cc contributed so much to this lot.

Morgaine Le Fay, a prominent figure of Arthurian Legend, was said to be a sorceress, priestess, queen and would-be world conqueror. Rumoured to be half-human and half-faerie her base of operations was Castle Le Fay in the Valley of Wailing Mists. I have imagined her home to be a place where a lot of living, learning and magic occurs and this mid-sized castle is great for all of these activities. I had so much fun playing it that I kept dragging my feet to actually upload it.

The peasant cottage offers a bit of a retreat for those castle dwellers that need a break from the intensity of Morgaine's personality. In my game, I turned it into a small home business selling various baked goods. The hot-springs provide well-earned relaxation after a hard day of brewing potions.

Morgaine's magic (and Targa's ascension stairs) allows all sims to move mysteriously through the 5 levels of the castle without all of the tedious climbing of stairs. Medieval tapestries adorn the walls and floors throughout the castle. Morgaine is immortalized in the portrait in the ground floor study and Circe (another "strong" woman is featured in the entrance. A great hall, music room (forgive the modern piano), kitchen, nursery and baths are also found on the ground floor.

You will find the 5 bedrooms located on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th levels as well as various baths & libraries, an art studio and a place to enjoy the healing public bath.

Thank you very much, florie, michaelajand, kingarthur, suggah, jmtmom & sophie-david. It's very kind of you to take the time to comment on the lot!

I'm delighted that this lot attracted those "obsessed" with the Arthurian legend including kingarthur, himself. I do, however, have to hope that his "attack" fails & he retreats back to Camelot.

I also appreciate your congratulations. This contest certainly was an adventure resulting in many wonderful creations and I'm happy to have been part of it!

I'm just plain obsessed with castles or anything medieval so right away your lot caught my eye. You've done a wonderful job decorating, I know its really hard to keep everything in a medieval setting without having to use modern objects that your sims absolutely must have but as time goes by our creators are getting more creative in making objects to better fit the setting or era.

Great job once again!!!!

This looks gorgeous from the outside, but I bet getting around on the inside would be a bit difficult... I'd probably have to take my Sims to the Far East and teach them to teleport.

Anyway, I don't have the stuff packs needed to download this, so I'll just drool over it here. It's beautiful!

Thanks for the drool, Metatwaddle.

You may be interested to know that I've played this lot over 4 sim weeks now and I've never been impatient getting around the inside of the castle. This is probably because I used Targa's Ascension Stairs throughout and they really speed up transportation to the various levels.

I do, however, like to teleport out to the garden and back as this is a rather long walk. Since all the amenities of home are also in the garden, you can hang out there indefinitely so I find it's usually worth the trip even if you have to walk.
