I have a quad speed, 8 gigs ram, advanced video card etc. My game usually runs great even with the largest, most memory consuming lots. I placed the lot on T. island and when I go to enter the lost, my game crashes. Leaving this lot useless. Any ideas? Has anyone else had this problem?

Why not! of course. I did many attempts, so I don't know if my method is the simplest.
Place a fundation (bridge one) near beach - where it's possible to place - and enter the cheats "moveobjects on" and "boolprop constrainfloorelevation false". Now take a column and place it in the sea: you will see that you can build over it! Put many columns in the sea and build the floor. To attach this floor to the seaside I used stairs (modular). Bring your floor near the seaside and place one stair to go down and one from seaside to the level created by other stair. When you reload the lot, this stairs will covered by beach because ground near sea in maxis seaside lots is not "transformable", that is, it returns flat. But nevermind, your platform is attached.
Now begin to build your house. Pay attention because water will enter in the ground floor. You can make a first floor dry. In my case, i lowered the ground floor with cfe because bungalows couldn't be high.
(i think my english is quite incomprehensible, sorry)


Our problem in real life it's that we can't CtrlShiftC and write motherlode..

No-idea McAlli. I tested this lot in my pc and in one pc very old, so old that yours seems the Enterprise. Lot has not oddity, it's not different from others built with cfe. I have no hacks nor strange things..besides the lot is clean because I tested a clone, not this lot itself. Have you tried to delete and re-install? And how you see the lot from the neighboorhood?
You enter the lot with sims or in build mode?
For example I have a family of sims that continue crashing my game, don't know why, other families don't. I thought it was caused by the lot but first, my sister play with her pc with this lot for months without problems, and second, the family crashes everywhere.

Edit: Oh dear, I seem to be having the same crashing problem. I wonder if it's a CC conflict somewhere. I'll go do some further testing and see.

Edit 2: Yep! It's a CC conflict on my end! One of the custom content pieces must have a weird conflict with something else. Gorgeous lot! I'm so glad I get to use it now!

entering in build mode. I really love this lot and hate the thought of re-creating it myself. Also, I can't seem to find the roof. Is it in a different category? One more question. It may be stupid and when you tell me what it stands for, it may click, but what is cfe?

Roof is a deco objects, you can find it under miscellaneous. It's beautiful, made by my friend Mastermax of sims2cri.com
CFE is the cheat "boolprop constrainfloorelevation false" that allow you to change elevation of floor tiles.
For your problem: maybe Moonstruck Muse have worked out, i hope he will answer

I am trying to find the CC conflict, but since it's a general CC problem and not a hack, there isn't a nice confliction detection utility I can just use, and I have a LOT of CC. It is going to take me several hours to find it. But when I do I will post back!

I use the boolprop constrainfloorelevation all the time. I just didn't recognise the abreviation. I cannot use this lot, even though I love it because there is a conflict somewhere. I have TONS of custom content, including my own, and it would take forever to find. So I am going to just have to rebuild this lot to match yours. It is a fabulous lot. I will check back periodically to see if the item that conflicts has been found.

I'm entirely perplexed as to what CC item is conflicting. Is it possible for two items to cause a conflict with a third, but only when all 3 are in the downloads? I did the 50 percent method and didn't find what the conflict was, so either it's something like that or I am missing whatever it is.

The item must be common, most likely from MTS2, since 3 of us have this problem. Sorry I can't find it.

As to the placing problem, I noticed, I think I had to put it in Bluewater. The other newer towns didn't want to accept it, for some reason.

No, the placing problem is due mostly to the waves: delete the waves and the rocks in twikki island where you want to place the lot !

thanks i was able to place it when i deleted all the things nearby.

the first problem i encountered was when my sims went there to check in there was no desk to check in. i entered the lot in build mode and bought the desk for that. when i played the lot again, there is a fronte desk man but no desk. and so i placed the desk outside of the place where it supposed to be. it wrked. the only problem is when i click the cottage that i checked in there are no options.

I can't wait to play this lot, if i can't go there myself at least my sims can so please help me.

I noticed that you have the same problem with Polynesia: this is not a problem that comes with lot, but probably with hacks you have in your pc. I heard about this in some forums and it was associated with hacks : do you check-in in maxis vacation lots? have you downloaded hacks for hotels?

nope. i don't have any hacks. there was one time when i played the lot, front desk appeared and i was able to use it and so was the cottage i checked in. but the next time i tried it, oh well its not working again and its very slow compared to other lots. the same case with polynesia.

i' dying to play this lot properly.

When i first saw this i thought it was beautiful but once i downloaded it and tryed to play it my game would crash as soon as i clicked on it i deleted it but now my game is still crashing

It looks great and I like it, but I cannot put it into the neighbourhood and I do not why. I tried to put it like other beach lots and it does not work.
