This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Adidas superstar sneakers.

Gender: male only.
Age: teen, young adult, adult
Type: everyday, formal, athletic

Thanks for Delphi's CTU, I was able to create these. It uses a standard mesh (the 'skate shoes').

I uploaded a new version, because there was a small glitch when using these on teens (when they had shorts on). I also tried to straighten the lines more in this version, altough it is still hard because of the mesh itself.
The package is now divided in two: one for male teens and one for male (young) adults.

Sadly, females use a whole different mesh and texture than males, so they cannot wear this version.

Thanks to Delphi for his CAS texture unitool!

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

These are really, really nice! Thank you for sharing them. I don't normally like to have anything "brand-specific" in my game, but these are very nice looking and I can see them being quite versatile.

I'd also love to see them for females, if that's possible. I haven't taken a very close look at the female athletic/flat meshes, so it might not work. But it would be awesome if it were possible!

I can't wait until we can figure out how to add more meshes to the game...but then my downloads folder will be even more bogged down. XD

Thanks again. These are great.

This is far from the first shoe upload. *Might* be the first shoe upload for *males* that I remember seeing, but I'm not sure. Maybe that's what you meant.

I've been waiting for some name brand shoes. I'd love some Nikes now. Any chance you could make these shoes for females, too?

Thanks for the kind comments. I am very excited about the happy simmers

At the moment this texture cannot be applied easily on a female mesh, because the mesh I used is a male-only one. It was also a lot of work to get the three stripes of this shoe as straight as possible, because the texture is curved around the mesh. I had to load CAS in the game itself *a lot* to check my progress. Making one for female will will require quite some work...I can't promise anything right now.

I am working on some old school Nikes at the moment, I'll upload it when it's ready.

Thanks for filling us in regarding a female version. You did a great job. I can't wait for your Nikes to be released.

Downloading not working for me. Done what is said. Comes up with the Error page. Can anyone upload this to Rapidshare or any other file sharing website for me to download? Thanks.
