Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
I don't know much English, so I used a translator to describe it. I'm sorry about that

This is a simple program for easy translation of mods for The Sims 4.

IMPORTANT
Reading the comments on various sites, it seems that many people misunderstand the essence of the program.
THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT TRANSLATE MODS AUTOMATICALLY.
The translation must be done manually.

Features:
  • The translation of mods can be saved in dictionaries, which saves you from re-translating if new versions are released.
  • Saving the translation as a separate file, or adding it directly to the mod.
  • Saving translations from multiple mods to a single file.

Usage Instructions:
  • In the settings, select the languages you plan to translate from and to.
  • Open the mod (*.package)
  • Translate.
  • Save the dictionary if you plan to edit the translation or are going to translate new versions of the mod.
  • Save the translation in a separate package or save the translation immediately in an open mod (finalization).
  • Profit.

Install Instructions:
This is a standalone application and does not require installation.

Interface languages:
- English
- Russian
- Chinese (by Tina.)

Troubleshooting:
If you are experiencing startup problems (error "ImportError: DLL load failed"), try installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019

Additional Credits:
The idea is taken from the app xTranslator (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/134)

After a particular patch, a lot of modders moved from 0x80000000 to 0x00000000 when that patch of the game broke all translation files from appearing in the game and the only solution was to change the group id. Anybody who didn't react had the text missing for a while and it got fixed later after another patch which reverted that change. From that point on, I'm using the zero group.

Here's a post about it happening: https://simsvip.com/2019/04/18/the-...ril-16th-patch/

This is one of the most useful thing I ever saw if not the most. I translated a bunch of mods already and it works perfectly for me. This is specially useful for bigger mods, like BS, WW and SCCO (which I translate for personal use). No issues whatsoever. Thank you so much!

This is absolutely awesome! The addition of Google Translate speeds up things so much too: it does all the hard work and I just have to tweak things a little to fit the game translation. Thank you! :D

Sorry but I cannot run this, it report that"This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
I tried to redownload but nothing happened. What should I do?
And I found that for the 0.3 Alpha the EXE was 33950kb, while it is only 36kb for the lastest version. Maybe something wrong so this happened?

Today, when trying to export the translation of "hoe it up" for conversion, we found that unmodified strings cannot be exported to XML. Because many tools do not have simplified Chinese at present, some people may use some tools to convert, and then they may need to export them completely.

you can mark untranslated strings as translated, then they will be exported successfully..

Hello, the first thing to say is a great mod. It was not very clear to me how it is stored in the library because it comes out in another type of file. Could someone make a video of how it is done? Let's see if it is clearer. Thank you very much

Hey! What is the difference between finalizing and saving options in the file menu?
Also for some reason I can't run the program from the folder on drive D while I have no problems while running it from the folder on the desktop. I'm getting an error about Qt plagin initialization when trying to run it from drive D folder.

finalizing embeds the translation directly into the open package.. saving creates a separate package that contains only the translation..

indeed, for some reason, the program does not start if the path to the folder contains characters other than Latin. I will try to fix this in the next version, which is almost ready..

I have Windows 7x64. These programs have been installed for a long time; nevertheless, the error occurs with any version of the translator. Programs were x64, installed x86, the program started working. Thank! Sorry for my bad english.

I had the same error happening to me but installing 2015-2019 Visual Studio C++ Runtimes solved it for me.
If I were to guess, the file path shown in the error message has not much to do with what really is happening.

OK, my bad. I didn't read the instructions carefully. After installing x86 VC++ runtime. It works!
