This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
These are the first of a modern urban set I've been struggling with lately: a metal door and a metal window, probably more suitable for community lots.

Although I used base game objects for the clones, I heavily altered the material definition files to add reflectivity to the surfaces. In other words, I'm not sure they will be compatible with versions lower than Nightlife.

Info:
Door:
polys:900
vertices:590

Window
Polys:308
Vertices:202

The objects are colour enabled.
The meshes were made with Milkshape.

Yes, you may recolour them, but please do not post on pay sites.

Enjoy

The door looks fantastic! Fits the modern theme well. Thanks

I like the reflectiveness of the metal, but the glass itself still doesn't have that real-glass look and feel to it. I'm sure you know what I mean: the further away an object is from the window exterior on the outside of the building, the more opaque the reflection.

These windows are more like the game's: just a mostly non-reflective transparent blue gel wrapped around a frame.

But this is a nice start. If reflection BHAV's can be added to the metal, at least all hope is not lost...

From someone with 9000+ downloads in her Sims Downloads folder...these are by far the most beautiful doors I've ever seen, Sim or not.

I have base game only, so I'm going to download them and tell you if they work without Nightlife EP.

Okay now I can tell it : Nightlife EP is required for these doors too work. Too bad for me !

these are beautiful! The doors could be art work... excellent job...thank you for sharing these...makes building in the Sims that much more fun! ;o)

Please do not upload, or post any of my creations to the Sims2 Exchange or any pay site. As a note; I like to personalize all my creations by altering the alpha files a bit, which if anyone has tried before it can be a pain. ;o) Happy Simming :o)

This totally rocks! I'm more into modern design and I end up putting, if even, the tiniest bit of modernenity into each of the houses I've made. This door will feel right at home with the rest of my modern items. :D
