This is really pretty, thank you! I can never really find churches and I'm not the greatest at building them, but now I have a gorgeous cemetary as well-although I'm not sure how gorgeous they're supposed to be...oh well! Thank you! =]

I really like it! i love it actually, just what i needed. I have 2 sims who are about to be married, and they need something small, so instead of marrying them outside, they'll do it in the church! (except i'm planing on her saying no, lol) but i'll download it tomorrow because it will take 40 minutes to download. Thats the downside of living in the country, :P.

Wow. This is an awesome church. I mean, it's amazing.

The camera gets a little wonky in the back, but that's fine. My only other problem is that the walls/floors are unpainted. Is this intended?

Thank you efire! Well now, I hadn't planned on more of the same, but perhaps down the road I will suddenly get inspired to paint another country scene again. I usually get ideas and directions for lots and houses way ahead of time. I tend to know at least the next four or five lots I will likely be building and I work on them when I can in my spare time. I really love the country though and I imagine another country themed lot is not far off.

I'm really glad you liked this lot so well puppersonpup. I will share with you that I had planned to make this a wedding chapel as well. I even arranged to get all three colors of the wedding arch (one currently decorates the stage, and the other two are being stored in the attic), but when I tried to marry my test Sims on a cloned test lot, the arch was un-selectable. I also tried to get one to propose marriage, and that option was also disabled in my game. It appears that Maxis disabled the option of allowing marriage on community lots. I found that odd, because they do have a couple of featured lots for the purpose of getting married. Perhaps it was a new glitch they need to fix or perhaps they intended to do that because they are planning a new EP similar to Vacation in Sims 1. I keep thinking that we will get an EP with hotels, marriage chapels etc., but I am just guessing here. Anyway, good luck! Perhaps it was just my system too, and you may be able to follow through with your plans. Have fun!

Hmm, unpainted? No all walls and floors should be covered. I had an online friend have some of her walls and floors disappear on one of her lots uploaded to the exchange not too long ago. People were reporting that some of her custom content was missing after they downloaded the lot. Hmm, that concerns me, as everything should be covered. I will download the lot now and check it myself on my other computer. That computer does not have these walls and floors installed. I will see what happens.

EDIT: Phew! I just tested this download, and all the files were included, and the coverings are intact.

Perhaps you were confused with the antique white wood floors I used? They are meant to look like painted wood that had been worn over time. If you are truly getting blank walls and floors, try downloading it again. Perhaps there was a small glitch during download that dropped some of the files. Thank you for saying something and bringing this to my attention. I would rather check it out and find out it's fine than not know that something could be wrong or missing.

When I said blank walls and floors, I really meant it. I got the little eye-drpper tool, and moused over the walls/floors, and got nothing. The walls were the basic, unpainted ones. The floor was just plain wooden.

I'll try re-downloading and get back to you.

Reminds me of the small churches back home in Tennessee. Makes me miss my "mother land". Really Nice job!

Please check me out at Sims Crossing Please do not upload any of my lots, clothing, or other creations to other sites!

This is a truly beautiful lot, and I have my Sims go there often. I even put a couple of beds in the attic that I built over the bar so they can stay overnight. And the graveyard is so much nicer than the typical "parking lot" style, so I finally found a place to put all those graves from Pleasantview!
