Eye Candy Collection - geneticised and townie-ready eyes + defaults + contacts

This is an eye set I created for my own personal use - I abhorred the maxis dull, cataract-laden eyes, but wanted to keep my sims mildly cartoonish.

At first I set out to do only some default replacements to override the maxis eyes, but got sidetracked and did several more colours. And since I wanted them to show up in my game as well, when the game generated townies, I sought a tutorial to make them townie-ready, and geneticised all the eyes, while I was at it (so that the custom eyes wouldn't overtake the neighbourhood).
So, the two darkest shades of blue and all the browns are dominant (genetic value 1) while all the other eye colours are recessive (genetic value 2). I didn't use genetic values of 3 and 4 because I find them too recessive, but you may alter the files as you wish.

If you download the default replacement package as well as the genetic eyes rar, you should delete five packages once you un-rar the genetic eyes folder, since you won't need (or want) duplicates. Those packages are the ones pertaining to the brown, dark blue, blue, green and grey eyes - they are easily identifiable by their filenames.

... And since you I wanted some more (apparent) diversity in my already-existing sims, I turned the eyes into contact lenses as well...

These eyes look fine with the maxis skin (as shown in one of the pics below, where I recruited Angela Pleasant to model them for me), but work just as great with better looking custom skins - my two other models are using Lin's Edition of Simcribbling Louis#7 Skintone

Installation: just grab 'em, un-rar 'em, and place 'em on your downloads folder.
*Remeber not to have in your downloads folder two sets of eye defaults replacements*

Uninstallation: simply take them out of your downloads folder.
*If there is an eye colour you do not wish to keep, remember to remove it before any townie is spawned/any sim is created with it - I don't know what will happen to a sim using a custom eye if that eye's package is removed, and it's better to be safe than sorry*

Redistribution policy: do whatever you want with these, except uploading them on pay sites or claiming credit for them.

These are cool! I just downloaded them, You did an awesome job. I also hated the default Maxis eyes, they were so boring and ugly.

I absolutely love the first two. My neigbourhood is generally semi realistic, so I don't think I can work the eye set into the population, but I'm definitely getting the contacts.

they are clasik and wonderfull thank you so much for this upload of eye colors

They tell us everything's alright and we just go along;
How can we fall asleep at night when something's clearly wrong?
When we can feed a starving world with what we throw away;
But all we serve are empty words that always tastes the same...

These are more cartoony eyes that actually look good on Maxis' original skintones. Great job!

I actually prefer Maxis looking eyes. I like to keep the real world anachronisms out of my game. These eyes are just what I have been looking for.

Aww, I wish you had made the 'unusual eyes' set as value 3, but I will download and try them out, anyway! SimPE won't install for me to change them myself.

These are wonderful eyes. I prefer a cartoony look on most of my Sims and this is a great way to get rid of those ugly defaults. Now I can have one character with a normal eye color and one with a weird eye color and the eye styles will still match. Thank you very much, particularly for the defaults!

I love these eyes so much! I've used other defaults but these are by far my favourite cartoon-looking eyes. I love them so much, I actually edited my vampire skintones to use the golden eye for the vampire eye. Thanks a million for this collection!

I see that I have thanked but not commented. I absolutely love these eyes. I used them with the Maxis skin, and recently tried out a lot of different skin defaults. I ultimately went with the Lyran skin, but I stuck to using your Eye Candy, and I talk it up whenever I can.

These eyes are great--thank you for making them! They're still cartoony enough for Maxis skintones (and for my style of play), but way better looking than the defaults.

Yayayay! You just made my day, icnitos. I've been looking for some eyes that were more colorful, yet didn't look like they were copy-and-pasted from a real person.

These eyes right here are my favorite eyes, and the only ones i use even after downloading countless sets. I recently deleted all my downloads to start anew, and spent a LONG time combing through sites until i could find these again-it was completely worth it. I love them so so so much, thanks for making them.

These are so pretty, and i accidentally downloaded the dark green ones on a sim and they were my favorite eyes, so I was so happy to find this set.
