This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.

Update: I have now added a version with white shoes for every dress.

Some of those five virtually identical formal dresses the little girls had were not the prettiest. I always wondered why there was a green dress but no blue dress. What about purple, little girls LOVE purple (well, most of them do)!

So I decided to do a replacement set of them. That yellow/peach and white thing, HAD to go. I had almost always picked the green dress to use for my girls because the front panel and the sides were different shades of green, making for a very interesting dress in my opinion. So I decided to do that to all of them. Each dress now is two-toned. The two dresses that had two different colors before have COMPLETELY changed colors, the yellow and white became blue, and the pink and white became purple. I hope you like them!

These are DEFAULT REPLACEMENTS, meaning, when you place them in your downloads folder, they will act as Maxis clothing, completely replacing their counterparts. This includes sims currently wearing them. If you want to remove mine and return to the maxis versions, just delete my package from your downloads folder. Btw, if you want your clothing catalog images to reflect these changes, delete your thumbnails folder: C:\Documents and Settings\(yourname)\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Thumbnails. The game will generate new ones. If you want not default versions, check out this thread of mine.

The green dress was not changed, but I included a picture of it so you could see what I mean by 'two-toned'.

BTW, I've got more default replacements, check them out here !

Phaenoh, these are brilliant, once again. I always wondered why there wasn't a blue dress too, but now there is! My little Sim girls will be much happier in these dresses. Because of you, they have prettier undies, some cute sleepwear, and nicer dresses. Thanks! :D

I'm loving your default replacements. You're making Maxis clothing much more bearable.

Oh, thank GOODNESS!!! Next to the "porno-dresses" these were the ugliest outfits in the game! Phaenoh, you do a service to all Simmers everywhere! ^___^

these are really nice. Ironically I was wondering that too! I mean I know girls are supposed to like pink, but wtf?! When I was a little chillin I HATED pink! Maxis must have just been thinking in general. -__-''

I think its kind of silly to be hearing everyone saying the maxis ones were awful, in this case I didn't do much to change them, but I guess it must have made worlds of a difference! Thanks for leaving a reply!

There really isn't much of a change for the others, except the pink to purple one. If you have simpe, just delete out the ones you don't like!

dont have simpe...i know its not a big change, but the change i dont want is the shoes...those white shoes is like when my parents got married and i was i think 5 or 6 and i had gotten these brand new white shoes (oooh white shoes ) and thats the only thing i remember of the little girls dresses and white shoes is a festive thing to me
ill survive, and maybe (if i get brave) i get that SimPE and do as you suggest

you do good work, you cant please everyone, just keep it up when you have time and youll probably give me something else that i will download, right!

ok...i realised it sounded like i never got any brand new shoes, wich i did but my parents were the boring sensible kind and i only used to get sensible shoes (boring, boring, boring) and so these white not sensible was a real thrill

I understand. When I got a pair of shiny new white shoes it was special too. Only ever got one pair of them. I didn't really stop the think about the shoes for these! Sorry!

I've done a set of these with white shoes now too! I even like them better than the first set. (sorry, no pictures, I'm lazy and the shoes are the exact same as the ones from the 'Before' pics stuck on the 'After' dresses.)

I think I actually HAD that green dress when I was a tot. It made me sad-I had wanted the pink one (they were out). I look back on that now and I like it a lot more than I used to.

And it's gone, baby, gone.

Thank you for these. The original style is not my favorite at all, and my little girls always end up wearing custom content. Now they can finally get some wear out of this dress.

OH, thank you!!! I never wore pink as a kid (had older brothers, hence hand-me-downs were blues and greens) and rarely dress my simlets in pink. This adds some much needed variety to their wardrobe. Thanks again!
