Is it just me, or has EA/Maxis gotten lazy about this stuff? I noticed that pet can't use the Glamour Life stuff.

Thanks for the correction-mod! Cheers!

Thank you. It is very helpful.
Have you any idea how I can fix costum computers in the same way?

Useful fix, thank you.

Arf now I wonder how Maxis create new things without thinking about the past...

Yes! I noticed the BV functions missing from the TSS computer and I was all "what the???" when I saw that. I didn't know about the OFB shelf problem though so thanks for fixing that too!

Quick question: If you have BV installed but no TSS, would the objects show up?

Why would they? If you don't have the corresponding ep or stuff pack, you won't have the objects either. Adding the mod doesn't "create" the objects, it only enables certain features of them. At least that's MY understanding.

Not having a sig IS my sig. Oh wait, this is a sig, isn't it? Nevermind...

By the way...GREAT job in making this mod! I hadn't even thought about EAxis's mistake until I saw this mod of yours. I'm downloading right now, and thanks for the tip on where to install it to get rid of the cc "*" too!

Dear, dear EAxis. What will we do with you?
At least there are people out there like you, Lord Darcy who can find and fix these oversights.

I don't know if they've just gotten lazy, or they're making us try to fix things ourselves....anyway. I never liked how you couldn't do BV options. So thanks!

Thank you so much. They kill me with this. You can't place the celebration cakes in the maxis fridges either. You'd think they'd have thought about that but noooo. Anyway this is greatly appreciated. :D

I'm just wondering, ever since I installed TSS I've lost the "Order Photos'' option on ALL my computers, even the EAxis base game ones. Does anyone else have this problem?

And thank you for this great fix, Lord Darcy!

jfade from DJS Sims already made pet interaction enabler for GLS objects.
http://www.djssims.com/index.php?skip=10&category=10

I've made similar fixes for other EP/SP objects for my personal use. If interested, I'll post them here.

As for EAxis's laziness, it's just a tip of iceberg. How about primp interaction that is constantly broken by every EP, borked piano since base game, one female adult hair that does not show up in mirror ... the list goes on and on. I mean, how could thay break things AGAIN that they already fixed in the previous patches? Completely inexcusable.

No. Mimi52861 is right.

Usually, the location is like this:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\<YOUR LATEST EP>\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins

I made a subfolder in the above location, and threw all official Maxis objects (exchange/preorder) in there.
However, for some unknown reason, this TSS object fix won't work in there.

I don't have any problem using BV functions in any other computers. Sounds like you have an incompatible hack in your DLs.

IGNORE the previous instruction, it's way too complicate and contains too many unnecessary steps.

There is a much simpler way to do this. All you need to do is to make a fresh clone of objects that your cc are based on (unselect every other option except "Pull only default color"), extract Pie Menu Functions(TTAB) and Pie Menu Strings(TTAs), open your cc in SimPE, and replace the corresponding entries. There is a tutorial for custom fridges in here.
Basically it's the same process for computers, or most kinds of cc objects.

The cheap computer and the expensive computer have subtly different pie menus, one of the options is inverted, IIRC. So you want to make sure you copy the right one.

The majority of CC computers are cloned from the cheap one though.

As of FreeTime, pie menus for computers are now handled semi-globally.

Like bookcase, just changing the Object Data is enough in FT. No need to extract and replace pie menu.

Object Data > RAW Data > Select Decimal > 07. Resource cross-refs > Interaction Table ID 128 -> 129. Commit and save.

The failure by Maxis to include items and functions from earlier expansion/stuff packs is not all laziness. Maxis wants the new pack to be compatible with the base game. Some people do not buy all packs. How else do you explain the BV vacation lots that do not include skating, fishing, etc.
